Re: S7 announcement
FWiW, the last significant change to cell phone technology causing me to decide to upgrade to the S6 was the 64-bit octa-core microprocessor, replacing a 4-year old dual-core. And a larger screen.
I like technology and phones too -- I bought my first Apple Ii computer in 1979 and first Motorola mobile cell phone in 1992 -- but most persons, I would hope, have more of a life to live than an obsession with microelectronics, glass and a battery in a case. The S7 is just a small handheld computer (containing more computing power than the computer aboard Apollo 11) with a phone app, with some upgrades continuing from the S6 (and the S5, and the S4...). Today's cell phones are just commodity items. Sure, do the spec review, evaluate the worth of the upgrades, and figure out if it is in your budget. But no one can convince me anyone with a cell phone purchased in the past few years will have an epiphany with a step-up to an S7.Sorry. I'm going to continue to be really excited and possibly forget to breath every now and then. Most of us are enthusiasts after all.
