The Nexus 6 is the best android flagship phone you can buy.

Exactly like I said 3rd best makes it mediocre. Well put

Are you trying to change people's minds about the Nexus 6?

There's a lot of things I don't like in life, but I don't constantly try and belittle things. The things you like are the things you like. Why not enjoy them instead of trying to get people to see your point of view. The Nexus 6 is just fine. Don't go away mad, just go away........

I didn't know this was a constant contest of who was best. I thought it was about who is enjoying their phone and making use of it.

I went to go play with one and I think the camera works great. Autofocus is slower then the G3 but that's phase detection focus. But quality is amazing and focus is spot on. The flash is a nice balance especially for a phone. I wouldn't use this to take landscape photos and keep it as a display nor would I do the same for my G3. But for social media, this is more then enough.

I went to go play with one today and it felt great in my hands. I didn't feel it much bigger then the G3 but yet the screen felt so much better and bigger. My only concern was burn in but theirs was on 24/7 at full brightness but then once I started playing with it and doing things with it, I never noticed it and o only noticed it when I was looking for it. No biggie.

Mod Note - As previously stated please try to keep things civil. Do not attack others for their opinions. The forums are for discussing opinions and sometimes one opinion may differ from another .. it does not mean we can belittle or tell others their opinions do not matter because they do not share our view (good or bad).

Please report posts if you deem them to be out of line. Thanks.

I think people are getting stuck on the camera (which I love by the way). But it is the entire experience of the Nexus that makes it a great smartphone. Or as the article states, the best Android smartphone available. This phone is a performer. The software is fluid and consistent. There are little to no issues to gripe about with this smartphone.

I was joking about the comment above my post and my earlier one. I stated that the Nexus 6 had a top 5 camera for smartphones which made it real good. People keep posting because it's not the best camera it's no good or mediocre. The guys post said there were 2 cameras better than it so it was no good.

I picked up my Nexus 6 back in May, even though the negativity around the phone had me hesitating I wanted to get back to a Nexus and away from TouchWiz. I've been pleasantly surprised at every turn, the phone is the best flagship on the market and the camera is far better than reported. The last couple official camera app updates have sped up HDR to the point where it's now my default setting. For the first time in a while I feel like this phone will keep me happy throughout the next 10 months of AT&T Next contract, where usually by month 3 I'm looking to see what is in the pipeline.

It's not like I'm saying it's "bad". All I'm pointing out is that this year we've finally seen a couple of exceptional cams on an Android phone for the first time, so now the bar has been raised. If I were to go top 3 I'd say that belongs to the S6, IP6+ and G4 not in any particular order. I wouldn't give the Nexus 6 exclusive ranking as number 4 or 5, rather 'd say that it's among about a dozen phones after those 3 all roughly sitting tied. Good enough? Sure. But meeting the new bar that's been raised? No. I'm no longer satisfied with cams that don't stand out from the pack, I've put up with that for enough years of settling for average already.

It's a good phone

But it's not the best flagship on the market, far from it

If you don't think it's the best, fine. But to say it's far from the best is ridiculous. The Moto E is FAR from the best.

I agree with Jerry. This is why I bought Android phone. Clear stock Android, quick in future updates. And I love design of Nexus 6, sure my fav huge screen.

My only question about the phone at this point is how many updates it'd be good for. I assume it would be good to get up to all of Android N's system updates?

As long as it gets the next one, I'm fine. I will have a new Nexus after that.

Based on past history, It'll get what comes in 2016... Even the Nexus 7 2012 got M. They just aren't going to commit to it yet.
