am a LONG time mac peep. have ALWAYS worked on a mac. and i love os x (not perfect, but close enough).
i waited for the iPad mini, and...when it finally came out, i hated it. too big. too expensive. the GUI looked ridiculous on it (but worse on the bigger iPad).
anyway, i didn't NEED it, so...i let it go.
i finally decided to check out android. just bought a 'refurbished' nexus 7 on ebay, really cheap. turns out they sent me a new (2012) one by mistake. so...lucked out.
am EXTREMELY happy. with a few apps, i can sync my notes/calendar/contacts with iCloud. and everything else (email, kindle, netflix, Flipboard, etc etc) is GREAT on this.
the play store is easy to use, and i find whatever i need there. if i lose this, or it breaks (or whatever), i will not be crushed. it was NOT expensive (i.e. $400 for the iPad mini), if i want to replace it periodically, it's not a big deal (i.e. $400 for the iPad mini
).
android is great, and my N7 is fast, stable. smooth. the options to customize my experience (using apex launcher) are only matched by...my JAILBROKEN iPhone. i love that.
there are a few things i prefer in iOS; working with text, mostly. but am happy, and am using the N7 a lot more than i expected.
so...
