The Note 9 Reviews are out and most look very promising

The Verge's review was rather poor. He didn't touch on any of the Note capabilities, but if I remember correctly, Dan is an Apple fanboy. Android Police and Engadget's reviews were rather short. Did they even do a review?

The only decent review up there was Android Central's review. Andrew touched on everything and was very thorough. Mr. Mobile also had a good review.

Very glowing reviews. Looks like Samsung have a real winner here.

I'm tempted to pick one up myself, but I'm waiting for the Pixel 3/3 XL reveal. Though I'm certain it won't have hardware as good as the Note 9.

Pre-ordered the Note 9 but I am also waiting to see what Pixel has to offer. I REALLY like the 2xl's camera.

Exactly the same for me. Coming from the 2XL , I preordered the Note 9. We’ll see how the cameras hold up, but it looks to be almost the same as the S9 plus. Which is good, though somewhat different from my 2 XL pics...

Do you have the S9+?

I watch a lot of YouTube videos and I have notice some reviewers enjoy Trashing Samsung!.
When reviewing a product you should be knowledgeable and objective! If you hate a company, Please don't review there product!
On YouTube there are a lot of Pixel fan boys, Who always review there cameras but fail to mention the rest of the phone!
What are they hiding???

Im interested in how well the camera will perform. Coming from a Pixel 2 XL, I would like something comparable.
Same here. After 2 years of using the Pixel XL and the Pixel 2 XL I've been spoiled by the camera. I don't like the leaked design of the 3 XL at all, so I'm taking a hard look at the Note 9 and trying to watch/read every review I can to get a feel for the camera performance. I think I'm just going to wait a little bit of time until the phones are in the hands of regular users instead of professional reviewers so I can compare pictures at that time.

There are always someone or the other who prefers something else or have an agenda. Nothing that applies to only Samsung, there are plenty people on YouTube who hate Apple, Google or any other company which is famous.

But overall Note 9 has gotten plenty of praise from majority YouTubers, obviously they got to mention pros and cons.

I don't. But I have seen some photos comparisons between the Note 9 and S9+ and they look somewhat similar. Getting back to Samsung should be interesting to me after 2 years with the Pixels :-)

6 months old CPU and GPU.
small upgrade for a high price tag.
Only 2 year's of Major update's,
support Quick Charge 2.0 from 4 years ago.
did any of the Professional Tech reviews told you this?

Oh ok. I was going to ask what you thought about the photo quality compared to the P2 XL. Since S9+ camera is pretty much the same as Note 9, it would give me an idea of what to look forward to.

I hate when people try to use this as an argument against Android phones. So what if your iPhone or whatever gets more than 2 updates. Number 1 - who keeping their phone longer than 2 years in 2018? Number 2 - you all know damn well that your iphone starts slowing down on that 3rd upgrade and God forbid you go for a 4th upgrade - forget it.

Most people keep their phone over 2 years, we are just on a fan site and we aren't most people.

I mostly agree, and we certainly aren’t most people. That said , most “normal “ people don’t care at all about updates, nor do most even know what OS level they are on. But as you say, we aren’t most people :)

The uniformity of positive reviews across sites is impressive and has removed some of my apprehension over my preorder. It’s somewhat rare to see just about every review be somewhere between positive and glowing. Even Gizmodo managed to recommend it, and they generally only do snarky, negative reviews. I’m encouraged overall reading these reviews. I guess we’ll all know soon enough how accurate they are.

Uncanny though how the iPhone X lovers appear to be the ones giving the N9 meh reviews. They love that notch! Bringo! Steve Brule approved.

Most people used to keep their phones over two years. The complete adoption of fixed batteries has moved the curve back to within two years. Just as designed. Gotta love forced retirement curves. Well, the industry does anyway.

I was reading several site's reviews of the Galaxy Note 9, and they are all quite positive so far. Most are better than I expected. These are a few I read so far:

The Verge

Android Central

Android Police

Engadget

Except for the high price tag, I really dun know how anyone is going to give less than stellar review to the Note 9. It's the most all rounded phone out there now in terms of almost every aspect, complete with the spen trick that no other phone has. The only reason some dun recommend buying Note 9 now is because of the coming S10, which supposedly will be BIG

I agree most online reviews on blogs and YouTube have been positive.

I'll be waiting for the reviews from the general public who've bought it and then leave those all important reviews which will help me to pull the trigger or not.

Reviewers often say if you have the Note8 or S9+, you may want to skip the Note9. Has anyone ever said if you are planning on skipping the S10+, this is the phone for you? I've never intentionally bounced back and forth between the Note and S series. If and when I get the Note9, I will casually keep an eye on the S10, but will not get it.
