So far they let me put in the pre-order for it even though my contract expires the day after the supposed ship date so I hope they send it anyway. I keep this the old lady gets the Captivate.

I couldn't see a reason to get a regular dock. What does it do that the included phone charger cant do? Just seems like a answer to a problem that doesn't exist....

It can put the phone into a desktop display mode - clock with alarm & speaker output. There is a audio mini jack in the back.

I got the Atrix pre ordered
The HD dock with the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse
The car dock
a Jabra Stone blue tooth
a Micro Cell

Spent 410.37 on the card.

I got a better deal:
Atrix, laptop dock, car dock, headset, micro cell, and a certificate for a free Atrix 2 when it releases with no contract extension, and AT&T paid me $100.00 to take this deal. Just kidding!!

Seriously, how did you manage that deal? AT&T Corp. store or a authorized retailer?

I think they are corp, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I have one person that I have been dealing with for 5 years now, and I have sent in A LOT of business to. Probably over 30 people in that time frame. When I go in, I get taken good care of for that reason. I also usually spend 4-5 hundred when I go.

You the customer i loved when i worked retail. Of course youll get a deal because you give us so much business not just from you but referrals.

My upgrade eligibility wasn't due 'til 4/17, yet when I clicked on the pre-order link on the site, it allowed me to go through checkout with the $199 price. I'm not complaining.

The only weird thing was during the "plan selection" -- it indicated in bold red letters that my $30 personal data plan was incompatible, and that I had to choose from the list below. So I chose...the $30 personal data plan. And it went through.

I haven't yet tried to complete the order, but I've seen the same thing even though I'm not eligible for an upgrade yet. I was going to just pay the non contract price till I was told online that I couldn't pre-order after I asked the online customer service rep about preordering for the non contract price. But I may just go ahead and try to put the order in next week, because I've gotten as far as the checkout page where you put in your cc number. I just didn't complete the order.

When pre-ordering online through the Premiere website, at what point do you actually click to change your plan to be on that Gold list thing with the $30 unlimited which equates to the same thing I have right now, being grandfathered in? I'm at the point where I add my credit card info and I still haven't had my plan "changed".

I was never asked to change my plan on the premiere site. I am essentially still on the apple data plan from years ago when I had my iPhone 3G. I got my Nexus One about a year ago and never changed my plan.

Really? And you're sure they didn't just eventually change your plan without informing you? I don't want to go through with this on the site and then next month or even two, three months later get a surprise bill where they bumped me down to a tiered 2GB plan or whatever. :\

Nope I never got bumped down, still shows unlimited. My wife works on the wireless billing side and she said they dont specify on the computer if its a apple plan or old unlimited PDA plan, it just says unlimited or whatever tiered plan. Im going to wait a couple weeks after I get the atrix and call in and make sure I didnt get moved to a tiered plan though.

I didnt get the laptop dock though, did you?

No, I'm not getting the laptop dock either. Well, I'm coming from a Blackberry so I'll have the Blackberry Personal data plan or whatever. Hopefully my plan will still say that, then. Thanks.

my upgrade is not until 3/10... called both regular support (611) and premier and both of them said I can't do anything until 3/10 unless I try to go into a store and get a deal from the manager. They also told me the no-contract price was $669!!! that's in stark contrast to the $499 on the premier site.

anyone have any luck with an upgrade before their date?

It will be one year since I got on AT&T on 04/11 and I just pre ordered for $199 hoping it won't get cancelled

I did it online. I was on a two year contract that started in 04/10 (iPhone since then)

The premiere site would never give me the $100 discount or the option to change my plan to include smart phone data.

I was able to order it off of Amazon today for $149.
