The S20 hasn't even come out yet, and I'm already disappointed...

Ok so it still has this feature, do you know if you can record for a longer duration?

The article I read said it records .4 secondsthat gets enhanced digitally for a total of 32 second clips. The S20/Plus records 1 second of video for the same 32 second clips.

The more I think about the Note 10+ the more I may want to get that over the S20. The Note 10+ is $100 cheaper than the S20 plus. And it has 256 GB vs 128 for the S20. My only concern is I've heard it has so so camera and it might be a bit to large for my hands. It's definitely not a one handed phone.

The Note 10+ and the S20+ are almost the exact same size. The Note is a little wider because of the new aspect ratio of the S20+, but if you could handle one the other should not be a problem I don't think.

I have been thinking about this size thing as well
I want the smaller S20 (6.2") but I am hearing only the S20 Plus (6.7") and Ultra (6.9" ) will have access to High, Mid & Low Band 5G?
The S20 will only have access to Low & Mid Band?
Anyone understand how this will impact the signal as I do not know which Carrier has which 5G Bands?

Then why not the regular Note10? Many seemed to prefer that anyway. It's a perfect size for those wanting maximum screen real estate but full-time one-handability. Biggest reason to get an S20 instead though is that insanely smooth 120hz refresh rate.

The only things I'm disappointed about is 1 - the price, and 2 - why only 128 gb on a 1400 phone? The Note 10+ has 256 base and was only 1000 brand new... why step back?

I saw a youtube video and the 100x was so blurry you couldnt even see the object. 20x will probably be the max useable range I am guessing

In some ways the refresh rate is a downgrade vs. the OP7 pro and Pixel 4. On both of those you get 90 hz at full resolution whereas on the S20 you have to pick, I wonder if it a choice driven by battery or a hardware constraint. Either way I think having to compromise the resolution would bug me, for most uses you cannot see it but for text you can see the extra sharpness of the higher resolution I think.

I would do that and then save up for the Note 20

That's what I was thinking as well. I mean why do we have to choose? why can't it be just like the OP7 Pro?

I wish Samsung had just gone with a 90hz refresh rate 100 percent of the time. But they decided to spec chase because they knew other companies were going to ramp up to 120, and they wanted to be able to make that claim as well.

Purely speculation, but we all know how Samsung is.

I didn't think about that, but that's a good point..is there any other phone that does 120? I don't think there is.

The animations on the OnePlus 7 Pro sucked. 90hz refresh rate was definitely cool, but poor animations in addition to not being able to use 90hz full time out of the box made it a lot less special than it looked on paper. The hardware in general made me long to return to a Galaxy. Speakerphone quality for instance was abysmal.

The Pixel 4, on the other hand, had awesome animations to go with the 90hz refresh rate. Battery life suffered as a result, but I also enabled it full-time in the developer options.

All that said, even at higher resolutions those displays paled in comparison to Samsung's best. If OneUI 2.0's animations on the S20 are anything like the Pixel 4's, full-time 120hz, even at FHD, on those top-of-the-line Samsung panels should be the easy winner. Then again I also prefer the look of normal-sized phones, so I'll be using it on the regular S20, not the Plus or Ultra. So the PPI will be a bit more favorable.
