The S22 Ultra is so... March 2022.

Thank You. Might have to break down and pay the extra $2.99 a month :-\

Neither was I, just direct, short as I was on the go, and I shouldn't reply that way. Replying short like that can be misinterpreted. Sorry about that if you took it differently, I'm just one that is direct and that gets me in trouble sometimes.

I've been debating about dropping the forums, I'm getting older and a person's thinking changes with age and that thinking collides with the majority of the younger people on the forums. Not to mention maybe I'll stop getting so many phones as I get most my ideas of upgrading on the forms.

No worries at all! I just wanted to make sure I didn't come off as being rude, myself! I too was in a hurry! 🤣

Maybe taking a hiatus from the forums would result in less phone consumption... But if it was me, I'd probably still find ways to make it happen... 😬.

Yes it does

Although, I've found it (Verizon Call Filter) is usually displaying what is obviously a spoofed number. I can't recall a single time where I got a call from a legit number (even if it was one I didn't want to answer). Check that. I have received calls from my Congressman (that I didn't want to answer) that displayed as from him, but that's it. Everything else was seemingly spoofed.

The S22U is a great phone but its nothing special compared to the previously released models S20U/Note20U/S21U. The camera and performance are marginally better.

The camera is your typical Samsung processing and you'd be hard pressed to find improvements.

Spoofed numbers are a common thing with or without call filter. You do get the name of who's number that is. When I realize it's a spoofed number I don't report it to Verizon as spam as all that would do is put that person's number on the spam list.

Agree, you're spot on.

With the free Verizon call filter I only see the number :-\

I know they're common with or without a filter. My point was more that I haven't received legit calls to see how well the caller ID works. I get either calls from people in my Contacts, or fake-in-some-way numbers.

My point was that virtually any call I get from someone who isn't a contact is spoofed or otherwise obscured. Given that it's harder to say the caller ID works really well. I certainly know it isn't someone I know, but beyond that...

You're the least rude, most positive person on this forum. To the point I don't even know if you're a real human or some AI experiment.....

Yeah I have to agree here. The S22U is an excellent Android phone, but the Pixel and iPhone just have better cameras imo.

The S22U camera is versatile, it can do everything you would want it to do in terms of features, but the image quality just isn't as good as the Pixel. The video is better though.

I agree that if someone is on the S20U/S21U/Note20U, then the S22U isn't worth the update. The phone really feels and performs exactly like the S21U to me. And I never use the pen so I don't find any value in that. I'd rather they remove the pen and extend the batter for slightly better battery life.

Or get a pixel and save 3 bucks a month ;) Even my wife's Moto G6, as well as my Moto Z3 Play have full Google call screening built in . I sure hope my new ZFlip 3 has some kind of call screening included

That maybe where Samsungs focus is on foldable .but personally I will never buy one.

I don't see know what the all the hype is about a foldable phone? It's more expensive than the S22 Ultra and you don't even get a real glass screen. I for one would never buy into the hype.

Love it, someone is honest with their experience and you all have to attack his age. Hope I don't get to be a nagger when I get old, old people like to complain. Maybe he likes to keep money in the bank and hates to see it wasted on things he doesn't see as value. It's his opinion. Maybe the OP should complain about the camera not zooming to Mars, that might be of value for a discussion, but then he would be criticized and told it will work great for eyeglasses for a old man. The party is over for him and as others said, it's over for a lot of people, somewhere, someone is lurking for the S23 already.

Samsung and Apple are always thinking ahead. I read somewhere that they are always working on the next 2 to 3 phones, this trains never stops.

There's another thread about the Samsung phone app vs. Google's. Anyone can download the Google dialer, but when we do that does everyone get the full spam and caller ID experience? That will work on a carrier locked S22 (on VZW the built in Samsung feature is disabled)?
