The Verge LG V20 Review

I'm a V20 fan. Can't find anything I don't like. There. That's my review.

V20 may not be stock Android like the Pixel XL, but there are plenty of areas where it's a better device - fantastic audio quality from headphones, larger screen, better build quality, removable battery, expandable storage, better looking (subjective), second screen, and double-tap to turn on/off the V20 display. Those are all huge advantages to me.

Another great thing regarding performance in general - I have loaded up my V20 with all the usual apps I run, and performance is buttery smooth, so much better than any Sammy I've owned, and comparable to stock android devices. The camera is pretty great and having manual controls at my finger-tips is a nice benefit. Battery life is great, no complaints. Bluetooth is reliable, no issues with connections to the car and other bluetooth devices I own. Reception, connection strength and data speed is great.

Having stock android would be nice. And the Pixel camera is probably better. But there are a lot of great advantages to the V20 that make it a better device for me, based on how I use a phone.

I held the V20 in store and I personally think it's too big. But that's just my opinion.

And you are certainly entitled to your opinion. My daughter decided she wanted the iPhone 6 plus back in the day. The phone arrived and she was appalled by the sheer size of it. 2 days later and she can't imagine using a smaller phone. Since she has had the 6S plus and now the 7 plus.

That's perfectly typical..

My daughter had to have an iPhone. I think it was because her friends have them and she's familiar. I tried to show her why an android device could be a good choice but I might as well have been talking to the wind.
