The WiFi service on my Galaxy Note 4 stopped working 24 hours ago. Ideas?

The WiFi service on my Verizon Galaxy Note 4 stopped working 24 hours ago. I cannot turn WiFi on. The option to do so is either disabled or locked. I have taken the battery out and replaced it more than once without seeing any changes. I cannot find any setting that seems to affect this issue in any way. I had just completed a 26MB download when it turned off, not to come on again. It is not the WiFi hotspot as I have other WiFi devices that are working just fine. To me, it seems the WiFi radio has failed. Bluetooth, LTE still working fine. Any ideas?

Yes, I have removed and replaced the battery multiple times with no change in WiFi availability.

Sorry for the delay. Have you considered a reset?

Was the 26 meg download an update?
IF so its possible the update didnt install properly and a hard reset may be in order.
