Yeah, it should all work in reborn 2.2.2,the only thing is Swype.apk needs to be moved to the /system/app folder

I don't want to ask for too much here. But I became curious after making my wife's keyboard pink. Any way to put a color theme on the HTC keyboard mod provided in reborn Rom?

I thought I'd bring this over here for anybody using Reborn ROM 2.2.2... Maybe it will help someone. This is the easiest way that I've found to move the Swype.apk back to it's original folder before flashing the "color mod".

from the adb directory in command prompt:
adb pull /data/app/Swype.apk
adb shell
# mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock5 /system
# exit
adb push Swype.apk /system/app

then use metamorph to open whatever color ie pinkswype.zip, greenswype.zip, etc and apply all. reboot. select swype.

Probably needs its own post... but here they are Metamorph swype files. For Reborn 2.1 or any other 2.2.2 Froyo builds if the Swype.apk is in the /system/app/ folder.

FOLLOW these great instructions to install the Metamorph Swype zips by Thabyrdman

Make sure you choose another input keyboard before starting, other than swype.
Install Metamoph from the market
Download the color swype zip file to your SDCard.
Open metamorph
unzip/extract new theme
find the color swype Zip and select it
let it do its thing unziping
close next screen (shows the developer)
apply all
Reboot
settings
lang. & keyboards
select input method
swype


Metamorph Blue Swype skin. Note for preinstalled Swype only and not beta. And please report any errors

green black pink red

plum, purple, gold

Yeah have a few I'm trying to finish up.

These are about finished. Disregard the swapped #/* signs. lol. I might do a theme like that below, time permitting.

Introducing Old Skool LCD. Green version. Flash in your custom recovery. Please report any bugs. I may make this into a theme if I have time.

This is used with the Redrum Theme.

oldskoolg2.zip has white numbers in the number field
oldskoolgblk.zip has black numbers in the number field.

hi i love the original bluesteel by team carbon theme which this stuff came from and was wondering if there was anyway to get the drop down menu from that theme and the blue icons also for the notification bar. im running the sROM and this stuff is working perfect for me and would love the drop down menu and icons. i cant find them anywhere and this is the first ive seen of this theme and its awesome. thanks in advance if u can help

Which version of swype do you plan on theming? If it is beta swype, then follow my other swype tutorial. If its the stock swype taken from 2.2.2,then these would still work.

If the new gingerbread has a new version of swype,I'll have to look at what's different.

is there any chance of getting these for the zvh update i love the blue with the angry droid. and the bling dialer and it would be awesome to have. im running gRom. thanks either way.

i upgraded with out thinking too much about themes, but now im really missing these. although jstntp is def hooking everyone up with some really cool ones too so not all is lost

bling dialer too, but the blue theme with the angry droid dialer that changes once connected is my fav. thanks a bunch.
