Did you download Koush's Bootstrapper Recovery?

No, tbh idk even know what that is. I've heard of it from the news, but idk.

I rooted with EasyRoot, then Used ADB to to do this. Idk what anything else is other then hearing of it.

Did you back up the files that you replaced when you installed the theme?

This is what I get for just following someone's step and not thinking about it haha.

Exactly which files did you change?

Did you change the music and settings as well as the services.jar, framework, and blur?

This is what I did.

su
mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
cp /sdcard/services.jar /system/framework
cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework
mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
reboot


Thats the only stuff I changed.

Follow those same steps with these files on the root of your SD card instead of those ones.

So delete those two files off of you sd card and put these on there and follow these steps again:

su
mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
cp /sdcard/services.jar /system/framework
cp /sdcard/framework-res.apk /system/framework
mount -o ro,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
reboot

Worked!! Awesome! I got scared for a second.. the red eye was taking longer then it used to but it worked!

Alright So I reverted back last night. Everything looks normally an everything but when trying to apply the leaked 2.2 I get error 7 on system/framework-res.apk Failed to patch.... so whats going on?

Try going back to stock then applying the update... just a guess.

Well, I too just tried to go up to the 2.2 leak and was unable to due to the error 7 on framework-res.apk ...AND, I had already gone and put the original res.apk and the original services.jar back on my DX. Anyone know how to get around this?

Nice! I was bummed for a sec when I found this because I just installed froyo lol.

Finally rooted today so I could put this on my X (been jealous of my wife's DInc UI since day 1). Followed all steps exactly, and got everything BUT the clock/weather. Already tried going back to stock and reinstalling; got the same results. Ideas anyone?
