I'm assuming you're talking about boot animations...

Isn't there a difference in resolution between the Moment and the Optimus? (I think there is...) that could be a challenge... but in theory you should be able to do something with conversion and making it work...

I couldn't figure out how to use some of those on my Hero... though this might be something to mess with. :)

Appears the format's different as well... (no more animated Gif's... now it's a bunch of png's... though I'm unsure if I can actually do anything with it right now... still looking)

I don't know if this will help you any sci, but I was able to put a custom boot animation on my Optimus no problem.

I used this one and pushed it through the Terminal Emulator and other than a little lag when it first starts up, it works fine.

you know...

it's worth a try... make sure you check your file type...

I'd try extracting the bootanimation zip file... (and if it's not a zip, make it a zip) with the desc file and try using adb push the bootanimation zip file to /system/media

I'll keep looking - if I find a boot animation that I like I'll give it a go. I liked the sword fight from before - the link on that page isn't working, but found it again...

Slightly off-topic, but once we get an AOSP rom running (fully functional to replace the Sprint rom), we can use almost any theme then :)

Very true...

So, this doesn't seem happy with the zip in /system/media... (it doesn't seem to work at first glance on my phone)...

hey nick7 how did that black menu's tutorial work out for you?

also for boot animations if its anything like the hero, i found a bootanimation.sh file in a vogue build a while back and it allowed custom boot animations on aosp ROM's maybe that might help so then you can put that in the bin file and the boot animation in the media folder then flash it like a normal zip dont know if that will help you guys out or not

Hey, I actually just posted on your thread over at XDA minutes ago lol. It worked great! Thanks, that helped me out a ton. The final release just got posted and everything looks great. About the boot animations. With the Optimus S, if you just place the bootanimation.zip in data/local/ it will show up. Very easy!

Just rolled out a stock theme with a circle battery mod for those of you that prefer the stock theme.

Any chance at getting a percent battery mod in your GB theme? Doesn't have to be super circle, although a GB green supercircle battery would look tight.

Also, what is the color code for the green you used? I am having a hell of a time getting it right with my icon sets.

Great Scifan! I noticed that your last theme that you posted needed just a few tweaks.
I will throw this up on the OP.

I figured out that I had issues when I went to update it to having the solid circle...

Since this was just swapping out icons... and replacing a couple xml files with something someone else wrote, this isn't much more than changing the surface...

I can see where you could pretty easily completely tweak icons and what not...

Need to look into how to alter the placement of icon's on the notification bar... ;)

Should touch base with someone I know who's more artistic than I am... and create some unique icon's...

You also need to include services.jar and LG-res.apk in your update.zip. Don't forget to edit the following files for white text in the ticker text and date: in framework-res.apk:
/res/layout/status_bar.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml
/res/layout/status_bar_latest_event_content.xml

Check this out for some goodies

Ok... I see what I need to do...

however, I noticed that the signal indicator doesn't match what I have in the framework... and I'm unsure where to look next...

Found what I believe are the icons for that...

they're located in lge-res.apk (/res/drawable/icon_rssi_barsx.pro, etc..)

when I tried to alter them, the apk_manager tool I've been using freaked out... hmmm...
