There's a little delay when i open an app on my S8. Is this normal?

So i switched from an iphone 6 to an s8 about a month ago. I have to say that everything regarding the S8 is perfect but i have one complaint. Every time i open an app, especially google chrome i get a delay of about 2 seconds. I know that might not sound like a lot, but it's driving me crazy while im using it. And this is after i changed the speed of the animations, before it was worse. Is this normal?

sounds a little unusual, apps on my s8 open almost instantaneously

Yes, I kill all animations and have launcher at fastest speed, it's quite fast.
