If It comes out before 3/12/01, I will just hold on to the DX until the Release of TB.

If it comes out between 3/13 and 3/17, I will hold on to the DX until the Release of TB. (But only if there has been an announcement or verification from Bennnnn).

If it comes out after 3/17, I will turn in the DX and go back to my storm until the Release of the TB.

However, I think he's here as an authorized representative of Verizon.

This is not insider information. This is information that Verizon wants us to have, plain and simple.

Thanks but what "preparation". Is it the ad campaign? Or logisitics it getting units to stores? What needs to be "worked out"? I really appreciate what you're doing but I just feel so, not even frustrated, but more disprespected because I simply need a new phone and I just want to know when I can get what I want. I don't want to have to settle. I mean I would even be happy to know that this deafening silence is part of the ad campaign which is all about lightning striking. Can you confirm at least that much?

Just busy with preparation. Once everything is finalized you will hear an announcement. But not until everything is worked out and completed.

Wow, this thread has gone down the crapper in the past couple of hours. So much hostility and hatred towards Apple and Verizon. People need to remember this is just a phone and there was no HARD release stating it would be out by now. Only promos that were taken down and rumors. It does not help anybody to spam Verizon's Twitter and Facebook accounts a million times over - you're just pissing them off. Why would you want to do that? If you play nice, they'll play nice.

Everybody take a deep breath and relax. Be5n said soon and 3/17 is still 9 days out. We'll get there soon. No need to riot.

Well I don't take people literally on here. People are just anxious and frustrated is all. Let's see how you feel when the 17th comes and goes and there's no phone. You have to realize that there are some people that have been excited about this phone since before it was even announced at CES. As stated previously, I don't think this phone will be released until 3/31. I can't help but wonder how you'll feel next week and another rumored release date has come and gone. Will you still be feel the same way?

Is no one picking up on the fact that he has now said at least twice that he will give us more details as soon as he gets the go ahead! That means that he is just leaking information with Verizon's approval, maybe even Verizon's way of trying to calm down the natives.

I was a defender of Ben^5 up until now but I realize, at this point, that Ben is giving us the official Verizon un-official info. Not really giving us inside information but only giving us the info that Verizon wants us to have.

I'll give it a couple more days and then I'm moving on. I won't be threatening to leave Verizon because they have the best network where I need it but my official view of Verizon has gone from a positive one to this: "Verizon, kiss my a$$".

I'll toss this into the cauldron of "We have no proof to back this up," but I think Ben5 is legitimate. We're viewing VZW as this big, soulless corporation that laughs at us as they leak us information that they don't have to back up, etc etc.

But we need to remember that we nerds make up all of Verizon's underlings. If you're not making millions of dollars, you're just like us in Verizon. For all we know, Ben5's boss genuinely wants to help us out, he's just pulling a CYA maneuver by telling Ben5 not to tell us unconfirmed information. We've been jerked around by unconfirmed info, remember? March 17th is all but confirmed, now we're just waiting on the announcement.

It's as possible as Ben5 being a plant in a small forum on a website about Android. Wouldn't that imply that there are other Ben5's feeding other sites the same information? We'd be seeing patterns eventually.

I've been eagerly awaiting the phone since it was known as the Mecha as well - I'll feel exactly the same on the 18th without it as I do now: wanting a new phone.

But then you won't be able to get it. The whole reason you built the machine and went into the past is because you didn't get the device, so if you ever do get the phone then it means you never built the machine which means you never went into the past which means you didn't get the device which means *mind explodes*
