All this let down is making me think to just go get the DroidX and save myself $250.......But my heart says NO.....

iv been on that same boat, gettin close to my deadline of getting something. tho a droid x is stil nice, its 3g an i will be in a 4g area. my other option is still a mytouch4g or nexus s on tmo. att 3g is running 1.5 mb at max, my friends droid x runs about the same maybe. i want 4g tho saving money is soooo tempting

It's super tempting especially with the wife monitoring every penny.... I am not in a 4G area where I live but at work I am...

I saw that and then I looked at Worldof Johnny's test
YEAH baby! My Demo will be here today! - Page 20 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum and he tried video calling his pc wiith Skype and couldn't get video. Wonder if VZ was refusing to release due to that and HTC was stuck in the middle getting bashed while Skype and VZ try for a fix?

Or, is it all more trickery!

Unless he went to another city he's on 3G....so of coarse he's not gonna get Video. Now if he used WiFi I'm not sure it that would make a difference someone else would have to speak on that.

Look at like this, Good or Bad Verizon is getting TONS of free advertising with the Thunderbolt. When it finally hits, I think the sales are gonna be really good and out preform there forecast, due to all of these rumors/games about the release of the phone.

You have more will power than I do I was thinking if it's not here by the 10th....

At this point you've waited this long... why not wait for the inc 2? If you're going to be tethered to a 2Y contract anyway, why settle for year old technology?

I'm over waiting. The 10th may be my cut off date as well. I'll get a Droid Incredible and get a TB in 2 years when it's free!

if the bolt comes out on the 10th i hope they will still have these great deals on droid phones, cause i gotta pick up something for my wife. i was looking at cpo droid 2 for 49.99

Because the Inc2 might be delayed like this. If we keep waiting for something better we'll always be using our old phones!

I'm ready to wait till the end of March, provided an announcement is made within next two weeks. If not then ill either stay with DInc or pick up Fascinate.

I think BMX said it wasnt coming out until St Patty's day so I guess anything before than is a bonus?

I'd be ok with Patty's day. Actually I'd be ok with April if we'd just get an official date from VZW.

I got the Droid Incredible yesterday and if the TB isn't out in 28 days then I will have to go get the iPhone my wife is pregnant and I need a front facing camera

As someone who had the Fascinate, I would say beware. They have YET to release a froyo OS. And while there is a lot of great development support on XDA and here, my personal experience was "one step forward, two steps back" and it was not in any way the developers' fault. For example, Bluetooth worked as expected with my car stereo with DL30, and then promptly got broken with EB01.

But the biggest issue I had, and the reason I finally called Verizon and complained...is that the battery took a TANK dive. Now you could argue that this will better prepare you for a Thunderbolt future ;)

What I'm getting at is while the Fascinate is one heck of a piece of hardware, the OS leaves a lot to be desired and I've given up hope. Having bought it in September, it's now March, and Froyo was released last May...I find it completely unacceptable we haven't released a finely tuned version of froyo from Samsung. And the devs can only work with what they get, which in my opinion is thus far junk. There is absolutely no reason my battery should have tanked like it did. And believe me, I tried every way upside down to install the OS "clean" and still couldn't get my battery life to even out.

So...called Verizon and complained that the phone doesn't work as it was advertised it would and they have sent me a Droid X. It's a big phone, and I'm a girl so I was a bit worried...but I'm actually liking it quite a bit. They sent me the extended battery (only 1 mm thicker than the standard) and I am getting a full day out of it and better quadrant scores. Actually for a stock phone I think the quadrant scores are insane. I think last time I ran it it was 1400...higher than the Nexus S whatever that topped out at.

So....long story short....if you want a very worthy workhorse that can probably get you through the day, I say check out the Droid X.

Crisy: I know you have mentioned the Incredible...I'm guessing it's because you are very sold on HTC. Don't be afraid to take a look at Motorola. Everyone complains about Motoblur but I've got LauncherPro running over it and I'm pleased. I miss a few things about the Fascinate such as the widgets to turn on/off some power settings in the notification bar, but I just added a widget bar one screen over and I'm o.k. with it.

At this point, being thus far happy with the Droid X...I'm seriously considering just waiting it out for the Bionic.

Wow...I got long winded. Apologies.

Crisy: If you want to take it to PM to ask some specific questions, etc., feel free. I'm happy to discuss it with you. I'm actually very impressed. But I will also admit my experience with HTC was about 4 days last year when I tried out the Incredible. I returned it because of the battery life. For me, battery is a pretty high priority on my list of things it "must" do. I know some are willing to give up battery for the sense experience. But with phones not getting any smaller (well, few anyway), the Droid X might be a nice lead way into the next future phone. You know, the phone you really want after the next phone. ;)

Didn't I read somewhere that there was supposed to be a VZW Meeting about the Thunderbolt today in the stores? Anyone else see that?

I hope the guesses (because for the most part that is all they are) is correct... March 10th would be great because I'll be leaving TMO and going back to Verizon... I've been with GSM carriers for roughly 10 years now, but TMO has pi$$ed me off this time and I'll pay the ETF to leave them.

And if I remember the last financials from TMO they lost 315,000 customers between 3rd and 4th quarter last year... now make that 315,001!!!

*** Not a bad small rant... I want the Thunderbolt if you couldn't tell.
