I still believe Bennnn was right but things changed when the iPad2 bomb dropped.
Negative. Say what you want about apple but they are probably the most consistent brand in the industry. All their products feel the same, they get released on a regular basis and in the same fashion. Verizon knew about the iPad 2 probably before they announced the VZW iPhone. I would say this is completely irrelevant. I'm guessing next 2 weeks. With phones floating around, it has to be close

If anything, it's been nice to actually care about the release of this phone again. I've had an upgrade available for a while and have never had a smartphone, so I've been glued to the release of this one for a while. Plus it didn't help that my wife had so many problems with her phone that VZW let us push up her upgrade 3 months, which got her an iPhone 4. I was starting to get overly frustrated and was thinking of picking up one of VZW's promotional droids, despite being in a LTE-covered area. Bennnnn has provided that "spark", if you will, to reaffirm my patience, regardless of whether he's right or wrong.

At work. Nothing new to report as of now. I'll let you guys know if anything comes up!

It would be interesting if you could confirm whether T-Bolts were shipped starting at 9AM this morning to VZW stores as claimed by Sentrix27's source.

To each their own, I suppose. If anything, the teases and riddles and incorrect information has had an "anti-spark" effect for me, though the entertainment during the wait is appreciated.

Maybe good PR doesn't work on me, I'm just too old and jaded...

Just remember about Bennnnn.. he's not in a position where he CONTROLS the release of the announcement or the phone... he's simply privy to that information. Since the people that DO control the release of that information can change that at any time, Bennnn is just a consumer of that information and thus there is a lag between when the decision is made and when he may get wind of it.

If we base "trust" on "right" then do you trust BMX less now too? Yes, he alluded to March in his poem a while ago, but he also confirmed 2/24. Does that mean we can't trust him either?

when did BMX confirm 2/24? i dont ever remember him saying that especially since he just said the device was confirmed "ready" on 2/27

He didn't. I have been following him since before I even heard of the t-bolt, and he had never said anything other than "mid-march". His "thunderbolts are go" tweet was simply saying that the hardware is ready, not that it was on sale. In fact, he has clarified that tweet quite a few times on several different forums.

I had quit looking for TB news for about a week after I had heard there was a good chance Skype video wouldn't work, so seeing reports of not only that being included but other unknown additions has built the interest again.

Truth of the matter is, none of us know if Bennnn or whoever else is telling the truth. Like they say even a broken clock is 100% correct twice a day.

I choose to believe him, especially since his idenity has been confirmed by a Mod on here. No proof, nope, gut feeling is all. However it's just a phone and if it's not I don't take it personal, it's the internet, people sometimes
lie, sometimes tell the truth.. Life goes on.

I for one what the HTC Brand, and the LTE.. so I choose to beleive the 10th or the 17th.. no matter... I will continue to play on PC/Mac, Dinc, iPad,

IT"S ALL Good!!! LOL

He is who he says he is.... he can only work off of information he has at his disposal.. and since his job isn't "Wireless Device Product Manager" he may not have the instantaneous updates on all this stuff.

Like many others here, I am losing my patience with Verizon. I have been a with them for more years than I care to admit. They have been the only cell carrier I have had. Having said that, if I don't hear something soon from them on the release of the TB, I will be taking all 5 of my lines to another carrier. I mean come on, this isn't rocket science. Quit dangling the carrot in front of us and then keep delaying the release.

Okay, I am done venting now............

I don't blame you in the least.

For my part, I'm not annoyed with the delay.. as a geek I get that tech takes time and effort to iron out the growing pains. What's stuck in my craw is Verizon's arrogant silence on the matter save for canned PR announcements written by their out-of-touch legal department. It's beyond obvious Verizon knows that customers are aware something's up. And yet they can't be bothered to just say what the hold up is even if they don't know how long it will take to fix it.

First the problem was Skype. Then Best Buy screwed up. After that, it was the iPhone's fault thanks to underwhelming sales. And the battery life "revelation" has been particularly titillating. Now the problem this week is allegedly Verizon's SVDO implementation, which is supposed to make voice and data over 3G a reality. Fact is no one outside of the Thunderbolt project has the first clue what's going on. Meanwhile the forums and blogs are burning down in pointless, immature flames.

People would be more reasonable if they know why they were waiting. As of now, there's no official reason for the delay, which makes this whole situation unreasonable. This entire launch has been a load of avoidable drama from start to finish.

That said, the main issue with your plan to leave is simply this: not many are going to leave over a phone that they know will be here soon. Sure, there's venting, but no one is going to be serious about it once they look at this with perspective. People are going to ask themselves: "What other carrier has a phone that remotely compares?" I'm guessing most with come to a conclusion that looks a lot like mine: T-Mo is less than financially stable, their coverage is painfully lacking, and they have no real 4G road map. Sprint? Ditto with the financials. Sure the EVO is nice but it's WIMAX and it's clear that tech isn't in the game for the long haul. Then there's AT&T, no friend to android customers, but they'll take your money just the same. Disabling HSUPA is low and a clear admission of network inferiority. Why bother if they're going to keep crippling their Android phones in order to divert bandwidth on their overloaded network to give the iPhone priority? On top of that, they get to decide what apps can go on your phone. All of that nonsense for the same price as Verizon. Pass.

No matter how many people actually leave, you can take it as a given Verizon will pickup converts from other carriers -- AT&T folks like me for example. So basically you can take my whole lecture here to be the equivalent to this simple statement: People will deal with it Verizon is the best Android game in town right now. The problem is the game really sucks.

Guess I did... I don't follow anyone's responses to other people on twitter. There is too much info there for that, lol.

Huh? I was defending Mr Bennnn.. LOL I agree he can only say what info he has got..

As I was informed would happen last night, the #Thunderbolt began shipping to Verizon stores at 9:00 AM this morning.

From twitter:

I would think that Bennnn would be more correct than a teenager that has "inside" sources.

Bennnnn is a verified VZ employee, that twitter dude is only going by so called "inside info", which is already proving to be false since Bennnnn said they have not shipped yet :(

MEANING what he also said about HTC giving Verizon 72hrs to announce the phone or lose all ad support from HTC is also false.

But hey, I don't have any proof either, so i could be lying or telling the truth too
