Its kinda funny that everything Bennnn has said has been proven false. Seems, fishy and for the record I don't believe a word he says either. I think he knows no more than any of us. it's not his fault because verizon keeps changing the date. he is just telling us what he hears.

2. when you say "will sign up for 4g data plans in the near future" and "go and lock in the unlimited data" do you mean when we buy the device, start with the unlimited data plan?

Verizon had been planning on launching this device Feb. 14th and then March 10th, but as with all devices, there's always a secondary planned launch date (or a third planned launch date for the Thunderbolt), to account for any unexpected delays which may or may not come up. Being the third time this has device has been officially and internally postponed I believe we are looking at a definite March 17th launch.

Personally I wish Verizon would have released both the iPad2 and the Thunderbolt on the same day... I am ready to buy both on the same day, and move everything from T-Mobile to Verizon on the same day... now I will need to wait to move all my phones until March 17th.

If the 17th is in fact the truth, then I am very disappointed in verizon. They have mangled this launch beyond belief. All they had to do was say the release would be 3/17/11 way back in January and everybody would have been fine. Then if it was ready early they could have released it early like ATT did with the Atrix. Anybody who says they never delayed it because they never announced a date is in denial. This week to week delaying is wearing thin. For all we know in a week it will be pushed back again. Thanks for letting me vent.

Thanks for the update. All of the talk about the release date is just that talk. There was never a know actual release announced by Verizon. Just hearsay.

While I agree personally, I disagree from a company standpoint. Had verizon said 3/17 in Jan, many people would have gotten another phone, jumped to another carrier, etc. Verizon wants to keep people interested in the phone for as long as possible before launching it. At the end of the day, it's a publicly owned company and making money for the shareholders is key.

I would almost bet this phone will not be released until April!! Its been pushed back every week for 5 weeks now and I don't see that changing. Now on Verizon's site they are pushing the iphone harder than ever. Its on the front page when I go showing that's it available now for discounts. I'm sorry, but I just have a hard time believing Bennnn. You can get mad at me for saying that but I have read and followed his posts and nothing he has said has panned out. He GUARANTEED the announcement last week and a launch on the 1oth and neither happened. I know, everyone will say its not his fault. Well maybe not, so don't GUARANTEE it then!!!
