I'm at the point right now that I want to see what is announced at CTIA
HTC is going to unveil new handsets for the US

and one of the NEWEST rumors as of today is that the Incredible for Verizon will be a better version than the European version just released as the Incredible S with the same size screen as the ThunderBolt, according to other VZW sources

I don't entirely believe the screen size part since the Incredible S has a screen size of 4" not 4.3"

However, the Incredible S is entirely Unibody aluminum unlike the Tbolt, which it should have been since its based off the same design as the Inspire - Desire HD. Which that same rumor is saying, it Incredible 2 could be Verizon's EVO3D

if you recall, the Incredible and EVO are esentially the same device with different bodies and slightly different specs (ie: screen size) but other that that major difference there the same.

and it would make sense to have that same thing happen this year like the last

Incredible 2 is EVO3D's little brother or whichever sibling it would be

I'm beginning to hope they delay it past CTIA or just after so i can make a better decision to get locked into a 1 year or (God forbid) a 2 year agreement and be stuck with the device for as such that amount of time.

We already know the Incredible 2 is in Verizon's system, along with the Merge.

meaning, its quite possible that each carrier in the US this year will have 3 HTC devices sporting android or WP7.

Just trying to lighten the mood and share what i heard today after this mornings rumor of Apple forcing Verizon to keep the iPad2 release 10 days separate from other device launches.

and i too have called vzw a lot in the last month and not one of them have told me a thing

OK, so just got back form my VZW Corporate store and asked them a few things about my plan and updates and contracts. (FYI, my contract went up a few days ago)

Q. If I change my plan now to be an unlimited data plan, and then in a few weeks change my phone, updating my contract to another 2yr one, does that mean I have to change my data or min plan again when I do?
A.- NO. You will be able to keep the plan that you have, with the unlimited data and whatever current minute plan. (also, the guy that I talked to said that he would recommend this because they are planning to change it up very soon, and u would be "grandfathered in" for the unlimited data)

So it sounds like that the contract and the plans are not related, only the phone number and the phone are. meaning that is ur already a vzw customer and don't have an unlimited data plan, get one now so u can have one with the ThunderBolt.

BUT, he did give an example of their air cards, saying that they used to have an unlimited plan for then and then they came out with tiered or whatever, and people could come in and change their product and still keep the unlimited, but then when they wanted to get to a 4G air card, they had to change their plan to a tiered type one. So does that mean if we have an unlimited now, going to the thunderbolt (with its 4g) make the "3G" unlimited data obsolete? Just thought of that, and didn't ask the guy that helped us out tonight. I think they will be getting another call from me tomorrow if u guys don't know...lol

the "be here at 8" reference is the guy thats sending out his party invite via Skype on the ThunderBolt, he was being creative with it

the real teaser is the beginning, which is just a split second before the ThunderBolt opens like a book, on the flip clock, the date is Wednesday, March 16th, this could very well be the launch date for BestBuy

March 17th is most likely Verizon's date since they launch devices on Thursdays

and apparently Fridays for Fruit, yay, Fruit Fridays

Well folks, I never got a reply back from my Director about Malones comments concerning a later release today. You can take that as good news or bad news for now, but either way, I will make it my mission to find out what the heck is happening with this device and its launch, tomorrow.

I don't know about you guys.. I just read through Melone's comments. Has anyone thought that maybe he meant end of the second fiscal quarter? Which would be end of March. I mean, he is a high up executive, wouldn't that be how he would be thinking.

And as I said, you are going to see LTE smartphones on the network as promised, before the first half ? before the second half of the year, by the end of the second quarter.

I doubt they would have pushed LTE and the Thunderbolt this hard without actually releasing them until June..

i am the same way, right now im just ehhhh about the thunderbolt. right now i just want a new incredible as mine is falling apart, will do an insurance claim soon. then i wont want a new phone so much.

Storm 3?? BAHAAHAAA, yet another mythical device!!!! RIM is worse than Verizon and the Thunderbolt when it comes to the Storm line.

Hehehe.. I wouldn't get a storm 3. It was just a joke. The 'Storm' would only prob be coming around september. Since Ben said Mar17 I was making it look like.. Yay, the tbolt will in fact be coming out this year and before september.
But even then, if it were Dinc against Storm3 I'd get dinc.
I'm really not so happy in the speed RIM is developing.
But enough about RIM and S3, soon it's tbolt time!
