Since the thread has sorta gone quiet thought I'd ask a question off topic of the release date....I'm pretty interested in the DLNA feature of this phone but my TV is not DLNA compatible, so I was wondering if anyone has used something to make their non DLNA tv able to use this feature. I know HTC was/is in the process of making something for this but haven't actually seen it on sale yet...

i hear you can use this feature with ps3 or xbox 360, but yea htc also makes adapter.

i use my 360 an ps3 to stream stuff to my tv via wireless network, works great

I feel like Luke at the begining of Empire Strikes Back when he is freezing in the snow after being attacked by the Wampa. He calls out BENNNNN, BENNNNN. DEGOBAH SYSTEM....then Han rides up.
We must go to the Degobah system to learn all about the Thunderbolt?

If you have a PS3, XBox, or even something like a Roku/GoogleTV/WD Live HD/etc. then you'll have DLNA to that TV.

I'd go with Twitter. I'm thinking that's the fastest way to announce something. Soon after it will be posted on the VZW website. We'll probably receive the email on our actual TB if at all.

If you don't already have a blu-ray player, I have the Sony S570 blu-ray player that connects to wifi and has DLNA ablities. I don't have any DLNA devices yet, but I will test it when I get the Thunderbolt. The player isn't too expensive and better than the uni-tasker HTC media link thing.

I'd say they'd update the website and then do a social media blast. Course if they announced it on the forums it could be a one stop shop and get it out in half the time

Windows Media Player 11 and up has DLNA capabilities, and you can use PlayOn to use on Wii consoles (didn't see that mentioned.)

Thnx. Quite a while ago I signed up on the VZW TB 4G page for email but haven't heard diddly squat from them on anything. Absolutley zilch...nada. As lame as VZW seems to be on PR etc., I don't have much expectation that they'll do this with any effectiveness.

Hello I'm new to these parts of the internet I'm coming over from the stagnant BlackBerry OS. Been riding this roller coaster of a launch since my friends got myTouch 4g's and Evo 4g and give me a hard time with my LAME Bold 9650. My question is about the TB but its more about the accesories, does anyone know how long it will take to get a Otterbox defender case for this thing. Or if there is one for the Evo or Incredible that will fit this until Otterbox comes out a specific case for it. Reason I ask is I'm in construction and can't risk this $700 phone to the elements or potential accidents. I currently use this case on my Bold and its great for my line of work. Sorry if its a little off topic but this seams like the most viewed thread so I wanted my ? To get some visibility. Thanks in advance.

The charging port is in a different place than the EVO so that one won't fit. I'm not sure about the Droid Inc

I HIGHLY doubt that the Wii has DLNA. Where did you see that? I have a Wii, and I don't ever remember seeing DLNA.
