It's not my department, but I can confirm that this was brought up as a suggestion if we can't get it out by the 17th. It's probably not going to happen since this is the "first 4G LTE device" and it would look bad launching an iconic 4G device that's restricted to 3G for the first month. People are working hard for you guys to get this out on time!
Three guys get a hotel room. The room is $30, they all pitch in $10. An hour later the clerk figures out he made a mistake, the room was only $25. On the way to pay the guys back he is trying to figure out how to split $5 between 3 guys. He's going to give each guy $1 back and keep $2 for himself. So each Guy spent $9, $9x3=$27+$2(from the clerk) is $29. What happen to the other dollar???

But wasn't the Xoom supposed to be the iconic first LTE tablet?
This has me concerned. I have a gut feeling that it won't be out by the 17th.It's not my department, but I can confirm that this was brought up as a suggestion if we can't get it out by the 17th. It's hard to compare a tablet to a phone which has a larger consumer base. The Thunderbolt the device that is supposed to kick start 4G LTE across the United States.

If the launch date is correct, under these conditions, do you think we will see a official announcement?

That is why I feel like it won't be released on the 17th.Ok, I'm not trying to flame, steam, bake or grill anyone first off. However, I do have a question. Yesterday bennnnn said it was guaranteed for the 17th, but now it seems like its more of a "if they can get it finished" type of thing. So, my question is... Are you still standing by your guarantee of the 17th, or are you back tracking and instead saying they are working as hard as they can to get it out by then? Just curious because I'm a bit confused.
There's no guarantee until the official VZW announcement comes out.
I wonder if this relates to what the Mobile Panda, black_man_x, has just started tweeting about.
