Thanks Bennnnn, you know a lot of people are going to eat crow when this bad comes out next thursday....

It's not my department, but I can confirm that this was brought up as a suggestion if we can't get it out by the 17th. It's probably not going to happen since this is the "first 4G LTE device" and it would look bad launching an iconic 4G device that's restricted to 3G for the first month. People are working hard for you guys to get this out on time!

But wasn't the Xoom supposed to be the iconic first LTE tablet?

Three guys get a hotel room. The room is $30, they all pitch in $10. An hour later the clerk figures out he made a mistake, the room was only $25. On the way to pay the guys back he is trying to figure out how to split $5 between 3 guys. He's going to give each guy $1 back and keep $2 for himself. So each Guy spent $9, $9x3=$27+$2(from the clerk) is $29. What happen to the other dollar???

OK again, I ask that you please stay on topic. Next riddle I'm deleting.

It's hard to compare a tablet to a phone which has a larger consumer base. The Thunderbolt the device that is supposed to kick start 4G LTE across the United States.

This has me concerned. I have a gut feeling that it won't be out by the 17th.

Thanks for the info Bennnn. Is there any possiblity that they might rollout the device by cities where the network is ready or is it an all or nothing situation. I presume the latter... I live in socal (San Diego)... gotta ask! :)

Ok, I'm not trying to flame, steam, bake or grill anyone first off. However, I do have a question. Yesterday bennnnn said it was guaranteed for the 17th, but now it seems like its more of a "if they can get it finished" type of thing. So, my question is... Are you still standing by your guarantee of the 17th, or are you back tracking and instead saying they are working as hard as they can to get it out by then? Just curious because I'm a bit confused.

If the launch date is correct, under these conditions, do you think we will see a official announcement?

What's the fall back date if the 17 date is missed ? April?

That is why I feel like it won't be released on the 17th.

I hope the 17th is good. We are ready for an upgrade and my daughters phone will die after being plugged in all night and she makes one call. Sometimes she gets a call and it won't let her answer it. Of course my enV Touch goes into whiteout mode for no reason and sometimes I get these really cool, black lines on my screen when I get a text. It's just time to upgrade and I really only want to go into a Verizon store once instead of getting a temporary phone to hold us over and then go back in order to get this phone. Plus my wife will get buyers remorse when we buy 3 new phones and new contracts and if we go back I'll end up with some sort of crappy phone. Then all of a sudden the TBolt is released and I am stuck...oh what a world what world. I'm melting...

There's no guarantee until the official VZW announcement comes out.

I understand that, but he did say yesterday that he guaranteed a release for the 17th. I'm just curious as to why it seems his position has changed. It's my opinion and mine only.
