Bad. Bennnnn had already stated what he thought the plans were (unlimited 4G). So I would assume if something has changed or has the possibility of changing, it'll be to add Tiered pricing.

I am hoping that the tiered pricing is soemwhat more reasonable and the 3-5G option will still be $30 or under. I think this would be key in stealing customers from other carriers.

But since Ben said upset, it's not looking good. I personally wont get the tbolt if the data that I need is over $30

So does everyone think that you will be forced to switch to a 4G tierred plan and no longer be allowed to carry the unlimited 3G plan. No grandfather in and nothing like that??? This is a main concern of mine. I am so close to signing up for unlimited data right now so I can keep it when the TB arrives, which may be only in a week or so???

:(

We get upset no matter what news he tells us if it changes, probably why he isn't saying it until its official.

From the sound of it when he said he had news, but couldn't say yet, it sounded like good news to me, but it could change at the last minute and that good news would have been pointless and just cause more of a rukus than intended.

I got my bill from VZW today. Pretty sure it is the only thing I am going to get from them for awhile! Just wish they would speak and end this madness.

on the bright side, maybe they'll flip the switch on LTE for Raleigh and Wilmington, NC by the time the Thunderbolt is available. lol

I was wondering the same thing... are there any problems with the 4G cards?

I think are worried about the burden all the 4g phones will put on the network since alot more people will be using a phone compared to a wireless card

I'm not going to comment on pricing till I know for sure. I don't want you guys getting upset over something that could very well change before launch.

I know you can't say much but I live in Kansas City, MO - not an LTE area - are non LTE coverage customers being kept in mind during this new pricing strategy or are we about to have our eyes gauged out for a service we don't have yet?

Well LTE is going to eventually replace the whole CDMA network for Verizon, they stated this on there conference webcast yesterday.

Once they get everything taken over to the 700mhz LTE band, they'll use the spectrum from the CDMA 2000 band to get more spectrum put towards LTE

Hi from across the state line in KCK area! Good question. I know Wichita, of all places, is supposed to get LTE before us. For me getting the phone before LTE is not a bad thing because all of the kinks will be worked out before we get it, but I do not want to pay for it when I cannot use it.

I'm beginning to wonder if thats why the unlimited 4G was proposed for this launch then the tiered pricing later this summer. hmmm

It makes sense since your technically not getting that service if you don't get it in your area yet, so why should you have to pay. Yeah I know Sprint charges for it regardless if you have a 4G phone but no coverage... doesn't mean other carriers have to follow suit

It's too bad Verizon probably won't even see this poll. I did the math and that $96,600.00 if the phone is sold for $300 for new contract and upgrades. That's probably just pennies to a big company like Verizon though.

This phone will end up being a monster for Verizon. I predict that it will out sell the Incredible. #s on the actual phone are chump change compared to contracts. I also predict that this particular phone is going to draw a lot of customers away from Verizon's competition, so this is not just existing customers. I believe Verizon knows this, I believe Bennnnn as a FA would probably tell us (if he could) that the company has very HIGH sales projections for the phone.

I am still however am on the fence and am considering waiting....if I have enough self control.

Sprint tried to be slick and now bills it as "smartphone tax" for all 3G and wimax capable smartphones.

yes, the Premium Data charge, but yet, even with that added to there price, there still sadly cheaper than Verizon :(

YEAH! RUB IT IN, WILL U? Anyways, the first weekend after picking up my Thunderbolt, I'm driving down to Boston to test LTE. I used to live in Somerville for a few years so it would be nice to meet some of my old friends too.

AT LEAST, I'm not in Pensacola with T-mobile *cough*cough*

Do they sell the S.A. Brick Red in Boston this time of the year? Good Lord that is good!
Or is it only in the summer? I love Boston....not as big of a fan as their sports teams cause I am Cleveland fan...and we stink in everything!

I would expect VZW prices to be slightly higher than other carriers tiered data plans. I think AT&T is the only one with one right now but I doubt their tier ranges or prices will be out of line with major competitors.

The only problem with Sprint is the fact that they have no coverage in my area. I'm stuck with Verizon or AT&T no matter what the price is.
