I hope this thread doesn't get shut down, I get to talk to you guys and gives me something to do at work 
I just called my local best buy and the mobile manager said they are now showing a official realease date of the 21st in both of their systems. I don't know what that means, maybe someone who works at best buy can fill in the blanks but he said its the first date they have had in a long time now so he thinks it may actually happen this time. He said before it just said coming soon but now they have a date and he said Verizon confirmed it. I called Verizon and they said they show nothing so who knows. But I have been in contact with the guy at best buy for awhile now and he said he actually thinks the 21st will be it this time.
Screw Best buy! they know jack and they keep telling ppl false dates.
a date will be "confirmed" by Verizon when they make a Public announcement!
Well atleast their system is showing a date again instead of coming soon. I want to know what he meant by both of his systems.

I tell you what guys- with no info from VZW today, a release this coming Thursday is look bleak. Push it back another week or so I guess...
Well having worked for Best Buy in the past I know they have the employee system where they can look up in stock and street dates, but I don't know beyond that. Maybe they have something new since they've changed to Best Buy Mobile? I left Best Buy like a month or 2 before they changed their phone department to Best Buy Mobile.
If the release is on the 21st it isn't so bad. It's four days, two of which are part of the weekend and one of which is a great going out night (so do something fun to kill the time!).
Well technically the 21st is two weeks. Maybe since the have the exclusive they will sell it on monday and everyone else will get to sell it Thursday. Just a guess.
I agree I think we have a few weeks to go

Really??? You should look back on this thread a couple days ago... one of the moderators put up a nice spreadsheet with the last Verizon releases... I think there were 5 or 6 of them... at least 2, and maybe 3, of the devices were announced two days before the release... and they were the most recent devices.
I'm guessing they will announce it on Tuesday for a release on Thursday... they don't want to compete with the iPad2 release today.
Ben5 said announcement after today... but 17th - 21st is at least looking like the window.

just called my local bestbuy and they said they'll know something in the next couple of days according to their VZW rep. Apparently VZW is working things out to release info within the next 2 days
I'm really hoping that the 21st is just the best buy date and Verizon's is the 17th... it would really make the most sense for Verizon.
