If I were tasked with removing every hypothesis regarding the TB delay, half this forum would disappear. I think anything is possible. They could all be on Mars for all we know. The only thing we can say for certain right now, is that no theory can be proven wrong.

I don't really understand why his tweet was taken down if it was the truth. Would Verizon be mad if someone but them broke the news or something? I think HTC has every right to announce it at this point, I mean they are the ones getting screwed the hardest at this point. Htc that is!!

probably... Verizon needs to be the one to announce this

That and the fact he probably called wayy too much attention to himself when he tweeted that or a mad rush of requests were pushed his way from tbolt crazies like us.

Yeah, Verizon should be the one to announce it, if someone does or leaks it ahead of the announcement, it steals the thunder of the announcement and what that announcement might contain.

To put it simply, it loses its buzz

And......it will be released soon.

UGHHHH, where are you Bennnnn :(

prove me right or wrong, please....

The fact that Tweet was removed and the HTC dudes' twitter account was protected says something

I asked about the Thunderbolt... still no word that they we willing to talk about. I'm sure they will have to wait for the official word, but he did say he has handled one... and we know a rep is going to do nothing but try to sell me on it if I'm interested in it.

So, the Verizon iPad2 thing is not all that big of a deal.

Exactly. I asked a friend on Facebook that works at a Verizon in Monterey California (who I used to work with when I worked at a Best Buy in Ohio) if he heard anything about the Thunderbolt release because he said they had a morning meeting today and he said "No official word yet :(".

So right now I think it's simply about an official announcement.

I just read on a news blog that the cargo plane that had the shipment of Thunderbolts was on its way from China was hijacked by a group of international terrorists which were part of a very circuitous and convoluted conspiracy. According to my sources, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint, with their own inferior "4G" networks already in place, feared the power of Verizon's LTE network and were attempting to thwart the coming domination of the Verizon 4G phones by delaying the launch of the HTC thunderbolt. Supposedly, the hijacked cargo plane was landed somewhere in Canada and is being held as ransom. Verizon is putting a plan in place featuring Bennnn and BMX to use their contacts to locate the hijacked shipment of the yet to be released superphones and are hiring Agent Michael Scarn to recover the phones. Can Michael Scarn recover the shipment in time????

Bennnnn was last seen with a black hood over his head being pulled into a non-descript black van. He hasn't been heard from since.

I saw this post on Phandroid:

"Engadget is reporting that Verizon has finally deemed the Thunderbolt ready for primetime, but the actual release of the phone hinges on HTC agreeing to requested fixes and updates to be included in future firmware updates following launch.
It is pointed out that this process typically takes two to four weeks. If this holds true, we may indeed see the Thunderbolt on March 21st at the earliest, though given the pressure to release the handset we don’t see why things might not move quicker for a release on the 17th. HTC rep Imran Shahid seems to agree with the earlier date based on a recent tweet, though it was retroactively removed after being picked up by media outlets. "

Although I sort of agree with NCX's theory, it doesn't say anything about 4G/LTE, it says its ready for primetime and I don't think removing 4G is really ready for primetime. But this isn't official either.

EDIT: Sorry if this was posted already
