i disagree with you on one part, I think we will see it this week. if they announce on monday morning, they have mostly 4 days until thursday. with twitter, facebook, tv, and internet ads they can advertise enough in 4 days to sell this phone to the public.

Most definitely. I mean, they already have been airing ads for a month. I think the bigger issue would be spreading the facts about a tiered pricing plan, if they chose to do that now, and not wait until the summer (which I think they will do, rushing that would be 1000x more catastrophic than rushing a phone. Phone rushed = unhappy people, unfair plans = massive loss of revenue). But anyways, here's to hoping tomorrow is the announcement and Thursday is the Boom.

I went to BestBuy this afternoon & i saw a TB dummy phone. The phone looks really good but the kick stand look like its made out of cheap material. I ask the BB rep about the price he told me if I pre-ordered already i just have to pay the remaining of $249. Btw the rep told it will be released on the 17th or 18th of March

Where do you live that you were able to take this picture?? (edit: sorry it says right on the dummy phone you're in new york) I ask because I live in KCMO and none of our Best Buys have a display like this. I was just in Best Buy about a week ago and didn't see anything like this? I also just called Best Buy to see if maybe he just got they just got these in and he said they don't have any display models and aren't even expecting live models for display for ANOTHER MONTH!! Another month man..I said, "Wow that can't be good" he said, "yea I know I want this phone too." I let him go after that but I was even in the Verizon store the other day, which I reported on here, and they don't even have a display or anything. So can you please tell us where, or just what area you live in if you're not comfortable with your city and state. Why would some Best Buys have displays like this and not others??

Its up to the individual store. There are 2 best buys within 10 miles of me, outside of Chicago. 1 has a nice display set up with a dummy, the other refuses to acknowledge the phone exists. Its just kind of one of those "things"... I wouldnt look too much into a store having or not having a display right now. As far as display models, ive never seen an active phone in a BBY as a display model, I believe it is a cost thing. They just have dummies out.

hmm well i'm interpreting the lack of news over the past few days as good news. ben was pretty fast to let us know that the 10th wasn't going to work after all, so i'm expecting an announcement monday or tuesday and the phone (hopefully) ready for pre-order pickups wednesday, and the rest thursday. idk about you guys but seeing all the pictures of the phone people are posting has been torture, i can't wait to play with the thing already. a little bit thrown off by best buy not advertising it at all this week though

I actually went and played with the inspire yesterday for awhile and fell in love with the look and feel of the phone. Plus the new sense it absolutely awesome!! I wish the Thunderbolt would be 99 bucks, it seems being 300 is kinda costly compared to the inspire. I know the Thunderbolt has more storage and a front camera but common? Is that really worth 200 more bucks? Its really got me thinking, plus I am tired of the wait. But I do love the shape, feel and the functionality of the phone. I will for sure come Thursday either have a Thunderbolt or and Inspire. One or the other!

thats how i felt on the 24th, and the 10th... its just kind of dissipated now. at this point, when(if) the phone comes out i will have more of a feeling of relief than of excitement. all the speculation is exhausting. here's hoping the thunderbolt isn't just a static shock.

Well the kickstand don't bother me either way and I think everyone knows the stock battery will have to be replaced on either device if you use your phone all day like I do and I don't have a outlet next to me all day. So neither of those are deal breakers for me what so ever. Plus I would have an extra 200 to play with. Don't get me wrong, I want the Thunderbolt, but it won't break my heart go go with the inspire either.
