There's a storm brewing...

1. I'll probably go to the Verizon store at lunch since it's literally about 1 mile down the road from my office.

2. Probably not as I'll go around 11 or so, so it shouldn't be too busy.

3. I was thinking about a 1 year contract.

If there is no word today I doubt it will be released this week... it needs time for preorders and pricing they need time for'that so hopefully there's an announcement if not than I won't hold my breathe for this thursday

Well hopefully you all aren't wasting your time showing up Thursday. It isn't confirmed yet. Why won't these dinks @ VZ just announce something.

Just checked with my bro who works at best buy, hes there rite now and said that they were told the 17th, that they are supposed to be getting them in soon. He didnt give me a price though.. I really hope its $250.. $300 is overkill :(

My work place and the VZW store 1 mile away are on a very populated route with lots of strip malls and such. I don't even have the option for a lunch break visit if I want to get back to work in less than two hours, and that's NOT including getting and eating lunch.

They told me they would call the night before launch to go pick it up. So i'm not expecting a phone call today

I don't think preordering on this phone is going to be necessary. After all most of the average phone buyers already used their upgrades for the iPhone leaving enthusiasts like us to wait for the thunderbolt.

I always thought of preordering as a big marketing gimmick of creating the illusion on constrained demand. I've never ever preordered anything And have always gotten my gadgets with no problems on launch days. I think that's why BB is doing that in the first place.

No offense, but this post seems to come through every 25-30 posts or so. Whether by you or someone else who has only posted once or twice. Come on man. It's baseless and grammatically offensive.

I plan to order online at VZW so that I won't have to pay sales tax on it :) They do allow me to ship to my work address, and someone else can sign for me, so I'm set! Now, it's just a matter of waiting...

I just wanted to let you guys know that there is a lot of excitement in the office this morning over the HTC Thunderbolt and you all should be hearing something any day now. By the looks of things, we'll have all the power of Verizon's 4G LTE blazing fast network as well as our beloved Thunderbolt in our hands by Thursday. Now, we play the waiting game.

Now? NOW?! You speak as if we haven't been waiting for MONTHS! :p

Considering what happened with DInc and DX, I don't want to.take a chance although times are different now - with a much wider selection of android phones.
