There's a storm brewing...

Well I just got off the phone with the manager at the Verizon here and he still says he knows nothing at all but will call or text me as soon as he hears anything.

Nothing from my local VZW I am going to call a few more, but she did say as soon as I hear something I will call you or you call me, so if the price is right tomorrow she is going to get a call and a picture of cash money

1/3

I got a maybe its Thursday or Friday

The place I deal with is Go Wireless and they are a PREMIUM retailer. I hope that doesn't matter. I know they deal ONLY in Verizon though so maybe that's a good sign.

oh crap, man---Arbo was the one i always used & was going to go to.

now i'm prob gonna order online--if the $35 activation fee is waived, that is.

Also---have you tried the VZW on 51 & 74 by the BurgerKing/Costco? i've had good luck with them

Well, the one in the Arbo has a couple of people there that seem to know what's going on, but it's a total toss up as to whether they're ever there or if you'll get "assigned" to them. I've only popped in the 51/74 store once to get a car charger, and they wouldn't let me just purchase one. Said I had to wait until my name was called (ie, wait up to 30 minutes just to get a car charger).

At this point it's either the Huntersville store (if I can get myself up early enough to get there in time for opening) or ordering online.

What store did you get a call from? I've absolutely had it with the Arbo store and the one in Matthews. I'm thinking about heading up to the Huntersville store . . . although far away, it looks like they have more positive reviews.

Northlake Mall location!

that's moronic. i'd just have said, in a very loud voice, "ok, i'll just head over to Costco/Target and get it for cheaper."
oy. Huntersville. don't even know if they have LTE for your to test once you activate the phone out of the store.
good luck

There is a kiosk set up inside a military base near where I live and the owner says she will have the phone cheaper than anywhere else. I don't know if its true, but maybe because they are setup inside a military Post Exchange, they can sell it a little cheaper.

Eh, might be right about the LTE up there. But, I'll be heading up that way for work on Thursday anyway, so as long as they have the phone, I'll be ok.

I called 611 and spoke to customer service, they said the phone will be available 3/17/11 and that all he knew. He said all other information will be later today or tomorrow morning. My locate Verizon store suggested i call 611 because they was 100% but that customer service know more than they do at this point. then winked and said call 611

I heard from a friend who knows a rep that once took a tour of the corporate parking lot that the phone is going to be canceled by Verizon altogether -- soon.

Seriously..all the hearsay is getting more than a little nutty.

I guess we'll have to wait and see about the Netflix, OnLive and Google Music, if they come to pass or not.

I still believe the guy

but he's also the only one that told us about the NETFLIX/ONlive and Google Music coming to Tbolt. (Google Music for Gingerbread phones i'm sure)

BUT He also said about Gingerbread coming shortly after launch, which I have a feeling that HTC will announce more than just devices at CTIA on the 22nd, besides the new 10" tablet, I think it could be the full launch of HTCsense.com its been down for maintenance for over 24hrs now.

There's no reason why those services wouldn't be available on the T-Bolt. They are such convenient cases that we still can't prove Ben^5's identity even if they are released.

Netflix - Since the app is restricted to DRM-capable Qualcomms and was demonstrated on the Revolution, which uses the same Snapdragon as the T-Bolt, we can assume that the T-Bolt will get it, too. Netflix and even VZW/HTC only lose if they don't release/support Netflix on the T-Bolt.

Google Music - it's coming with Gingerbread 2.3/2.4, and this device will naturally be upgraded along with the Desire S/Incredible S/etc later this spring/early summer when HTC releases Gingerbread-Sense.

OnLive - HTC has been pushing for this service so it would be weird if it weren't supported on their flagship VZW device.

To everyone in general:

I don't doubt Ben^5's authenticity, but I don't disagree that he has a tendency to give information about the same time or a little after we learn about it from elsewhere. Then again, he's one person trying to compete with the entire internet leaker community and isn't directly involved with the technology the same way Panda is. He was also the first source of information to disprove the 10th to us well before anyone else could AND never even remotely hinted at the 21st the way everyone else did.

So my verdict is that he is legit.

Best Buy is the only 3rd-party retailer for the TBolt. So I doubt they'll be allowed to carry it even if a premium retailer.

Just called another VZW store, she said the HTC rep was there last week, and the rep could not give her solid info on date or pricing, but she acted like she knew more than what she could tell me, she checked to see if I was eligible, she told me how much my new plan was and added me to her contacts to call.

My wife works at the Post Exchange here and asked the lady in the Verizon kiosk in the PX hallway and she knows nothing yet.
