There's a storm brewing...

I'm leaning towards Verizon's insurance as well. The only thing I don't like about Verizon's insurance is that if your phone breaks, I've been told that they have to mail you a backup phone until they get yours fixed/replaced...so you'd be without a phone for a few days or more. At best buy they have a backup phone for you to take away that day. Can anyone confirm that all of this is true? I'm in the medical field and cannot be without my phone for any amount of time so that would steer me away from Verizon's plans if that were true.
I had never had to use the insurance in the past couple of years but when I had a LG Voyager and then Storm 1, VZW gave me a replacement phone on the spot when I walked in with faulty phones. I don't know if this policy has changed.

you still have the 1 yr manufacturer's warranty that covers hardware defects, etc. If you want a 2nd year or accidental damage, loss, etc, that's where the insurance comes in.

I was in the exact same boat. I planned on getting a 1 year contract, but unlimited LTE (if it really is going to happen, and it seems like it will) quickly changed my mind and 2 years now sounds great.

I'm not in an LTE area currently, so this doesn't matter much to me. But if you got the phone on a 1 year contract, they don't change you're plan unless you ask, correct? So on a 1 year contract, you could stay on unlimited 4g for as long as you keep the phone I think...
Feel free to correct me! :D

if you look at the info, he posts things right after its been said by some one else.
like the japan relief stuff came 5 minutes after verizons facebook update, and the numbers were copied and pasted right off of vzw's page. And then the "phone shipping out" right after v3rdict's tweet...etc... and thats only from today, got some "emperor's new clothes" stuff goin on in here lol

I noticed this too.....maybe he is just rehashing the obvious but i do think he does have SOME inside info

Didn't Verizon let people upgrade early when the Droid X came out? I wish they were doing that with the TB! 3 more months is gonna be torture!

Are all of the "Verizon Wireless" stores the corporate stores? I mean, the ones with the actual Verizon Wireless sign out front? Or could those be franchisees?

I only asked about data pricing, he said it will remain the same as the current data pricing.

And yes this is a corporate verizon wireless store, not an authorized retailer.

So I just got off of the phone with the Verizon corporate store closest to where I work and I simply asked if they had any info on the Thunderbolt and they without hesitation said it would be out on the 17th. They didn't offer to call me or anything so I'm guessing they'll have plenty in stock.

Got the same from Enterprise Business Sales -- no pre-sale/pre ordering - just that they would be available in quantity on Thursday. No change to the date plan/rates "FOR NOW".

This may have been there plan all along. lol do a slow launch. Instead of hyping it up, just keep leaking info about the phone, say it's coming, and don't give it us. people get angry but more people learn about it. And the demand grows. GENIUS! Only one guy tried that before and it worked.

Well Done! +1

Any news on any BBY release plans?

Our Enterprise Rep is on the east coast so I did not speak with him -- I just called our ent support sales line and got the first Ent. support person who answered. I was hoping to get info on the Bionic as well but this person did not have any.

Hope the battery life is at least as good as my X.
