I'll be out of town in another state on the 17th. from CA to NV. would i still be able to get the phone NV? or should i wait and get it local?

Thursday would be nice. Getting my car stereo installed then and there is a VZW store within walking distance. I was looking for something to kill some time with and I may end up just getting a new phone as well

!1 out of the 3 verizon stores I just called said thursday.
btw, I hate that they say "home of the ipad" whenever you call them
The one I called said the 17th without hesitation and they say "The new home of the iPhone".
Im in the Tampa Bay area, no call from BB, Just an Email:-\Anyone in FL get called today? I have called quite a few stores and none of them have any info. I though maybe it was bc I was not in a 4g area so I called up to Tampa and they say they have no info either.
The Verizon where they took my name and number gave me a call saying the TB will be in Thursday. They are planning on getting on 50 units and he could not confirm a price. He is speculating between $250-300 with a 2 year contract but will let me know when he finds out. I can't wait. Thunderbolt for me and an iPhone 4 for my wife.

I called each of the stores in the metro Orlando area and none of them had the phone, nor did they know if Thursday would be the day. One store in Altamonte Springs said they had no info and to call back on Wednesday and see if any came in stock. If they do get it, its first come first served and she would not allow for me to make an appointment like other posters in here have said. IDK, but this 3/17 date seems like another crap shoot. I doubt Orlando will have it then. Maybe other areas like Miami or Tampa.
I mentioned to a VZW rep over the phone about my previous encounter with a phone rep that offered to call me back the next day (when the 14th was the spec date) and offer to place my TB order over the phone. He said he's never heard of that and VZW does not offer that type of service. "That rep must have done that on her own and that was not part of our policy to offer call backs for purchases". I'm like sure....she went out of her way just to make me smile. Right. I'll wait till the next 2 dates to arrive before getting excited again.
Yeah I received an email a few days ago acknowledging my pre order but thats about it...Hmmmm
As I said in the massive thread, I called the Verizon corporate store closest to where I work (where I plan on getting it during lunch) and they said without hesitation that it's coming out on the 17th. They didn't offer to hold one or to make an appointment so I'm hoping that means they'll have plenty in stock.
Well I'm certainly not one of the high post count contributors here, although I've posted a few times. I now feel confident enough to say that I do believe that the phone will be out on the 17th and that I will be ordering it online through my corp. sales rep. She still did not know what the discounted price would be for me as of this afternoon (Monday the 14th), but she did assure me that it would be at my house by Friday if it is released Thursday. I am confident enough that I ordered the Seidio combination case and holster and a couple of screen protectors. Hopefully everything will arrive about the same time.
Also, I would like to thank everyone that has contributed valuable insight as to what was/is going on with this release. I will be going from an Omnia II windows phone to the TB, which will be my first Android based phone. I've got a lot to learn, but this forum and members are certainly a good source of information it seems. I did check out a couple of the other forums in my searching for TB info and this one is by far, the one that I want to be on the most. I've been around internet forums since 2001 (mostly motorcycle related) and am looking forward to continuing with this one as time permits. On average, I check and read approx. 10 different forum a day as time permits.

BB owes everyone an reason/apology as to WTF happened with the TB release. Don't take pre-orders for a phone 4 weeks in advance FFS! If it was beyond your control due to issues with the phone, then pull the f&#cking ad from the circular and post something that says "we apologize but.....". Reposting the same ad was a joke (even if the ads were paid for...put a notation or SOMETHING).
My local best buy hasnt said a thing. Not even called after i preordered it like 1 1/2 months ago.

I'm not gunna be able to apply myself at work Thursday. So I'm gunna call in sick and head over to VZW at 0900. WooHoo
