i refuse to do business with Best Buy.

I used to spend a whole lot of money in their stores. (more than 10K between personal and business purchases)

Then when I went in to pre-order the thunderbolt a few weeks ago the best buy mobile rep made a racial comment towards me (i posted about it when it happened on these forums)

Tomorrow if I don't hear from my local Best Buy I am going to cancel my preorder and getting the phone from Verizon.

I'm doing the same thing. I'm giving them until tomorrow evening to set up an appointment for Thursday or I'm going to VZW. I've waited long enough for this day haha.

It all depends on who you get. When I called their customer service a month ago I was way too pushy than this and this CSR was very courteous and went out of his way to find out everything that I wanted to know.

I never had any problems with BB myself because I never ask them any questions other than where to find something...hehehe... I usually have all the info I need before I get there and just walk in, look around, and buy what I want.

I remember that... it was the "your kind" remark. I would have reported her to the manager right on the spot.

Anyone here happen to already have Seidio Active X case or Rugged case trying my hardest to decide but with limited photos on their website making it a hard choice. Would really appreicate a PM or some posted real world pictures of the two

Sidenote when speaking today with my friendly VZ manager she didn't have any insight on if the phone would go into that lovely iconic billing system, but she did tell me if it does you can NOT have the Thundrebolt purchase added to your VZ bill it must be paid in full with CC or checking acct :'(

The thunderbolt, duh, oh well we don't have a release date yet, umm yah vz annouced it and bb also put out a press release for the 17th, well it's not showing up in our computer, ok well them then I guess they must of lied then. Anyways, finally this afternoon I get a call and I am getting it first thing thursday.

Anyone notice the accessories listed for the ThunderBolt in the developer PDF.

The wireless charging is listed so theres definitely an accessory coming like was shown at MWC.

but what caught my eye was HDMI adapter, that means this phone supports the MHL interface. Which uses microUSB to HDMI, like the Galaxy S phones do.

So I just got a call from the Verizon rep at my local BB and we set up an appointment for Thursday morning. He told me some interesting info regarding the insurance. I told him I would not be purchasing it there unless I had the Verizon insurance from Ascurion. He said that they haven't finalized the insurance for the phone and that they would be notified Thurs. morning. He said that Verizon might charge $11.99/ month like the iPhone insurance to cover everything including water damage. I just hope I can wait an hour, instead of heading to Verizon at 9am.

LOL ...Best Buy is one piece of work. I just got off the phone with their telephone customer service and the guy also said they had no official release date and they were "ordered" (his exact words) not to give out any dates .....I can't stop laughing.

I say you just go to Nashua and take your chances, I doubt they have alot of pre-orders.
