Things people miss from WebOS

Mebbe these have been mentioned (I only read about 8 pages before typing my response)
These things might be easy to fix on Android as I have only had the phone for 4-5 days:
The App menu: On Web OS there are 3 screens to the left and right, all the way to the left had Web, Calendar, Downloaded apps, etc. The middle had the app store, Sprint TV, Youtube, and the right had all the system stuff like updates and phone info, backup etc.
I wish Android could do this, cause I have so many apps and such that I need a better way to organize it. Even a folder system where I can put games in one, browsers in another, soundboards in one, music programs in another, maps and GPS in another... you get the point.
The streaming video player seems to not play certain videos. On my pre I could stream full screen from a lot of sites, that I can not on Android. Now on Android I can use differet browsers and with Flash lite I can get the video to play - just not full screen like it would play on the pre. (certain adult sites that I shouldn't mention here)

Upon thinking about it I kind of miss sliding the phone open to use the hardware keyboard.
The Evo is truly far beyond the Pre though. Android growth and iPhone 4 make me feel sorry for Palm and the Pre

Don't forget that you can also use a plugin that will give you as many screens as you want, so you are not stuck just at 3.

Loving the EVO and not looking back to the Pre. I agree with most functionality things mentioned so far on this thread, however, like any upgrade it takes a while to get used to a different system -- I still catch myself swiping to delete emails. But, with the swiping gesture on the Pre I did find myself accidentally deleting other emails when the InBox was updating to load new messages so I don't mind a couple extra clicks to get the job done.
I always had that headset mode problem with the Pre. Went back and forth with Sprint and finally gave up and relyed on the app to switch the phone's mode. It is sad that a homebrewer had to actually write an app to manually switch the setting. Even with that app the Pre would still switch modes during calls which was quite a headache. One thing we tend to forget about these devices is their parent function, in all honesty, is to send and receive phone calls.
Hated the keyboard on the Pre, was just too small for my taste (maybe I have fat fingers?). The EVO's soft keyboard has taken a bit to get used to but I really dig it. And I do like the way it autosuggests words which is one thing the Pre didn't do.
Mostly, for me, the Pre was one of those great ideas that unfortunately just didn't pan out.
Personally, my real test of the EVO vs Pre will come as my work travel schedule ramps up later this month. I am concerned about the battery life. I hear all this stuff about EVOs battery running dry and I realize usage time is subjective to each person, but, on my heaviest use days while out of the office I would need to charge the Pre early to mid afternoon or the thing would be kaput by early evening. Battery life is one thing, but being near a charger is another -- you can't exactly troll your charging cords into a client boardroom or out to a clent dinner. Say the thing lasts ten hours but if I cant plug in after hour 8 of uptime, I'm sunk. Never really documented it but a typical day would include pulling Pre off the charger around 7am with airplane mode for an hour and a half flight. Otherwise, day would have almost constant email and probably a half dozen phone calls with longest call approximately 10 minutes. I an excited to see how the thing performs, hopefully I'll be surprised.

My friend said its called "Advanced Configuration for App Launcher". She said there where more options than just adding or deleting launcher screens.

Things I miss from WebOS.....
The Touchstone: Just the ease of charging by just placing it on the TS. I had them everywhere, 1 in my office & 1in my kitchen at work( I'm a chef), 1 in my livingroom & one next to my bed.
But I've been getting 12 to 13 hours out of 1 charge so I'm not missing them to much.
The way WebOS handles multitasking. It was just really kewl looking and fast.
A few apps, but I'm sure I'll beable to find what I need in no time.
I thought I was going to miss the physical keyboard. But I've got to say that I don't. The on screen keyboard is awesome!!!! Spell check, word suggestion and all are top notch. Took me no time to get use to it.
I got lucky with my Pre I think. I still had my launch day Pre, up until yesterday. It was in prefect condition and ran like a champ. I just sold it and all of my TS's(x4) and 5 cases(2 of them I got free from Palm the day they were here in Philly) to a coworker for 300$.
So with the 150$ in store(upgrade) and the 100$ mail in rebate that brings it down to 150$ out of my pocket. I ended up making 150$ upgrading to the EVO.

I had a year-long love affair with the Pre. Luckily I still have it running on a second Sprint line. It helps when I experience withdrawl moments! All in all, while I miss many of the features mentioned here...touchstone, swiping, universal search, keyboard, etc.; I don't think I'm going to ever look back. Hopefully Palm will land on it's feet and keep imporving a very good (albeit not quite fully baked) product. You never know...the new Pre just might be the "next big thing". Go Palm!
I guess that I am one of the few that is ready to take my phone back. Android doesn't compare to WebOs. I had no problems with my Pre, sans the camera, but had toy envy. After two days of using it, it is fast as hell, love the 4g, widgets are cool, but everything else just isn't as good. Wifi is an absolute joke.

Although I really loved my Pre and webOS, the only things I miss so far on my Evo are:
1. Full screen rotation (Evo on works in landscape when turned left; Froyo should fix this)
2. Ability to see all your open apps with a quick flick of my thumb, and the ability to close any just as quick and easy.
3. The ability to wake up my screen during a call by either pressing the space bar on the keyboard or opening the slider.

I miss being able to set my notifications to not show while the phone is locked. Is there a setting I am missing on the Evo to do this? Last text message received shows up on the screen even if its locked.
Just the card system and touchstone for me.
