Things you don't like about LGV10? :(

I see some people have issues with 1440P on the Youtube app, but I just played it on my V10 and it worked fine, no video freeze, but I was playing a different video and it did freeze, but only one has done it so far. Also Amazon Music skips like the first 4 seconds of each song for some reason, which is quite annoying, anyone else have that issue? I think my LG G2 did the same thing, so this might be an LG bug. So the LG V10 only has AC 1x1 (433Mbps) which is a bit odd since my 2 year LG G2 has the exact same speeds over wifi. Also I had the Droid Turbo 2 before this, but it went back since the display had banding that bugged me. That phone has better wifi (866Mbps) and is way better at holding on to weak signal. The big ones that bug me the most on the V10 are that it does not hold onto service nearly as well as the Droid Turbo 2 does in low signal areas and the wifi seems way more weak.

I'm coming from a Note 3. I had no signal in my office at work. This V10 seems to have a signal of at least one bar sometimes anyway. Not a lot but enough to get messages through and connect to apps sometimes. Not perfect but it's the price of working in a metal building on an army base using AT&T. LOL

The signal is a bit better than older phones like the G2 or Note 3. Also this annoyance maybe only be on the Verizon LG V10, but if you try to run Geekbench and AnTuTu Benchmark on that phone and it will say 'turn off network connection to run benchmark app' really????, but that maybe the tipping point where the cons outweigh the pros for me.

1 Fingerprint scanner won't work with case
2 Battery life not bad but could be better
3 No Wireless charging
4 No led notification
And that's about it!
Along with a poor speaker that is more than enough. The lack of led notifier alone would keep me away. Scanner not working in case makes phone useless to me. I always use a case.

I've heard that the scanner/case issue depends on the case and the size of the finger. I have a case on the way from Amazon. Should be here Thursday. Hopefully it will work with the scanner.

You heard wrong. It works with any case with some V10s and doesn't work at all in a case with other V10s. It has nothing to do with the case or with the finger.

In any case, a software fix is coming.

Bummer. That means my case I've got coming may not work anyway. I've also been told that a fix has already been released by AT&T but I've received no updates so that may not be true either.

I keep my WiFi on all the time. Never turn it off because where I live I have to use WiFi calling for calls and text. Then when I leave it will use regular network but I don't turn it off so when I arrive back home it immediately connects back to my home network. I'm always getting average 15-17 hrs a day with 20%+ to spare. Best I've done so far without letting battery die is 22hrs with approx 5hrs left.

Anyone have issues with scrolling not being smooth? Whether I'm on web or in an app it stutters constantly. Slow or fast scroll, all the same. Only had phone about 4 days.

I'm trying to find a site where we can actually communicate with the makers. I love this phone. I've done tests side by side to a Note 5 and new I phone and V10 crushes them both on the realness and just pure true color of the videos and photos. If you don't like the real look, this phone isn't for you.

You may want to get that checked out. Mine is honestly flawless until about a week of not restarting the phone. Best phone I've ever had

I'm the second screening when we receive notifications, why can't it scroll to the side displaying some of the text while the main screen is on or off?

And my fingerprint scanner only works without the case in it. Its crazy

Apparently a software update on the ATT version improved this issue. I have the issue on my T-Mobile version. I did redo my fingerprints with the case on and if I just use my fingertip, it works pretty consistently.

Since it's a "Things You Don't Like" thread, here goes:

I'm 3 days in with the LG V10 on Verizon with no case ... and here's what I miss;

No LED Notification light ---- Sure it has the 2nd Screen Notifier and that is an excellent replacement to the LED, but I'm used to looking across the room for a "Blink" ... (and a color to identify Text or Email or V.M. or etc) ... but it's not there. Is this the end of the world? Of course not ... but my lazy *** doesn't like having to take the 9 steps across the room to see 'what's new'.

No Caller Blocking ---- This is an issue for me. This is my personal line and sometimes my business phone and I get ENDLESS spam, scam and telemarketing terrorists bombing me throughout the day. I use the "TrueCaller" App and that helps, but it's not perfect and misses a few calls previously blocked. On all my previous phones (all Android), using the TrueCaller App AND secondarily blocking the number in the phone too, was a perfect "Caller-Wall" to unwanted calls.
I've read this is a "Verizon" thing ... but I'm not buying it as I can block calls on any of the other phones they offer.
I'm hoping someone here has a solution within the phone - without it being a calling app.

There's a little bit of light-bleed from under the Front Facing Camera screen onto the 2nd screen. But even I know this is an insignificant issue as the only time I see it is in dark rooms - which is near never - and when I've shut the phone down and about to put it in my pocket to exit that room.
HOWEVER .... I predict a problem. Years ago, I was sporting the Blackberry Tour 9630. The top of the screen wasn't secure to the glass and after several months, dust crept between the two and the top edge became quite polluted, with no way to clean it. With the screen off, in daylight, it looked like it needed a cleaning - yet there was no way to get into it to clean it. I predict this will happen with this too. Yet ... it's not a killer for me. I'm sure someone will be dismantling these things in the next several months and will do a full clean-and-seal just as easily as they change out broken screens at Kiosks in the mall.

I'd like more volume on the ear-piece. It's good enough, but the Galaxy Note Edge seemed to have that extra decibel or two this one is missing when I need to crank up the earpiece in loud environments ... I'm also in my 50's ... so maybe I should get a hearing test before going off on this.

All the other complaints people have posted ... are not my issues at all. I get great battery life and I USE this phone compared to all my co-workers and friends and it's better than the Galaxy Note Edge that I came from.
The Camera is friggin' fantastic! ! !
I don't have problems with videos or video playback (sorry for those that do).
Fingerprint Scanner works about as well as the Galaxy Note Edge before it.
The Lock Screen Time Stack is odd ... but that's only a hack away from being fixed.

My hubby had this problem. He lost 1% a minute and it was always hot. It was a bad unit and he returned it. The new one is fine.

And the speaker 👍 I forgot that one
Still so much better than the G2.

My list..
-Streaming Music will continue to play when on Bluetooth and receiving a call.
-Closing Spotify from the notifications screen does not stop playback. Have to open app.
-Stopping/Pausing playback of embedded YouTube videos does not work every time, have to pause through the notification screen.
-Stacked time display on lock screen
-Hi-fi DAC bug. Fortunately and hopefully temporarily fixed with this app

-No wireless charging

The speaker is not loud.It is a huge downgrade from the LGG4 speaker.Video sound is not all that impressive. The video itself is great.Finger print scanner is finicky.Does not always works. It is awful with a case.Battery life could be better but for something like this , it is normal. Incompatible with Windows 10 for uploading data.No drivers from LG for it.Really sucks to do it the long way.

Disable any notifications popups in screen lock under application manager or disable the entire application if not using.

Anyone else having issues when going to messages a webpage opens notifying that the battery is low and you need to download software to improve its performance AND Google playstore or on the browser page opens with Words with Friends (which isn't installed) for download. Zoner antivirus finds nothing. Tried 3 times Reset to factory data reset. Unchecked backup my data and automatic restore prior to factory reset. Installed only few google apps, yet webpage opens with words for friends, battery low (download this makeare) which has not been done. Or some other malware phishing site. ??? Returned phone got new one and it still happens.

Sometimes the phone will get hot and drain the battery fast. This morning I got to work and picked up my phone after an hour and it was down to 42%. It just sits on my desk. Picked it up a little while later and it was down to 25%. It's been off the charger for less than 4 hours and it's back on the charger again. I tried a couple reboots, pulled the battery and let it sit for a few minutes, checked the battery and it said the biggest drain was Android OS at 28%, screen at 23% and Android System at 14%. I do get a pretty weak signal here at work but it's like that every day and the phone doesn't do this every day. No idea what could be causing it. I'd take it back to AT&T to have it checked but they aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree and would say it's normal anyway, plus I am well outside my 30 days return. They would just tell me to mail it somewhere for repair. Can't live without my phone!

Does anyone have a fix for the volume dropping every time you plug in a speakers/headphones? I feel like i'm missing something obvious because it drives me insane.

Audio drop happens when connected via bluetooth (set for call audio only) & audio plug simultaneously. Once I disconnect Bluetooth completely, the drops stop.
