Things you DONT like about the HTC One?

Blinkfeed needs to be more customizable - i.e. Google+ integration, more choices of news sources. Otherwise, let me delete it entirely.

I would like Video Highlights to be more customizable as well. Zoe's and Video Highlights are really great, I would just like a little more control over the content that is included in Highlights.

Fix those and I am good to go.

Try using an app called "auto screen on". You can set it to wake the phone up by just touching the screen.

Trying this now interested to see how much this hammers battery life.

Thanks for the suggestion jtn0451. I did DL it. It appears to work if you touch the sensor. Because that is already near the power button, it still isn't optimal. Using one hand, I want to wake it, unlock it and start using it. Any other options?

OK - turn phone face down when not in use. When you flip it over, it will turn on. Or if it is in your pocket, when you take it out, it comes on. Much, much easier than hitting the power button.

Unlock? Don't use it. I don't really have any fear of someone getting my phone so I don't lock it. Unless you are using a password or face recognition, there is no point to lock it.

Without reading all of the posts on this topic, my dislike so far is that my HTC One tends to get hot after moderate usage.

The only thing i really dont like about this phone is having no menu button. That black bar is so annoying.

Transferring Files is becoming a PITA. I miss microSD.

It's not playing nice with my iMac. Android File Transfer doesn't recognize it.

Yeah same. Good thing is that more and more apps should start following the Google app guidelines. Not really HTCs fault for following the rules.

My least favorite thing is that I only have one of them... I'd wear a suit made of HTC ones if I could...

Actually it is. If google cared at all about OEMs getting away from menu buttons then why did they reward Samsung with a nexus S4? HTC just screwed the pooch on the choice of buttons and their lack of consistent operation

A problem I have with the camera on stock . In complete darkness when I touch to focus the flash does not illuminate the scene ( no matter the setting ) . When I take the picture it results in an unfocused image. The flash should power, help adjust the focus and then take the photo ( just like a DSLR assisting light or IR beam). This feature should be disabled when you switch in night mode so it allows long exposure of landscapes.

This is just picking on features, the phone is great with a smart sensor choice.

1. 1000 KB max on mms
2. Lack of LED Flash Notifications (Camera Flash).
3. Squared iCons (Tolerable)
4. Less secure regarding Malware. (But I'm smart enough to keep it clean)

But, as a lifetime iPhone fanatic, I still prefer the HTC ONE over the iPhone 5. I just traded in my 5 for the HTC ONE, about 2 weeks ago, no regrets! LOVE IT.

They didn't reward Samsung with anything. It was a last minute project, probably to cover the last minute canceling of another unveiling at I/O. From the sounds of it Samsung had nothing to do with it besides providing the hardware.
