Thanks for that good morning quick command idea, I have been loving the quick commands too! I have it set up to do so many combinations of actions! It's like automation on a new level.

How do you edit these? Can't seem to find them in the settings.

Yeah. It's been a feature on many smartphones.

Re: Note 8 is easier to type on!

I think my Note 8 is a bit easier to type with than my S8 Plus for some reason. Almost as nice as texting on the Note 7.

Does anyone notice this when typing who have the S8 Plus as well?

That little bit of extra width and the slightly less curve in the screen I think gives the keyboard just a little extra room

Do you mean pin to AOD? You can pin an off screen memo to it.

From what I can tell, what you pin to the aod, will only stay there for 10 min

But then there is a notification icon on the AOD for you to get back to it

I've discovered that even though my penmanship looks like a 95 year old doctor's chicken scratch, therefore it takes 3 times as long to send a text, I prefer writing stuff out with the SPen over swipe typing...which I'd gotten fairly proficient at.

I found something that excites me to no end until I can get root.

Sprint has a nasty habit of putting its name where the notification icons sit on the left upper side of the screen. I hate this because if my screen comes on that's where I look to check my nots. if there aren't any I see Sprint, which is advertising for them, and I do so hate that. no free advertising from me or ads to me. I choose what and when.

what I noticed is that with the notifications from my any.do app, using Cal add-on, it blocks Sprint as long as I let the notification sit there. whew. I can leave one active no problem, if that's all it takes. when I tap my screen Sprint comes back only briefly and then is gone again. so much better.

You might just want to consider a trade for unlocked inside of your 14 day return period to free ypur self from all that C*** I was with sprint for like 12 years consider a none carrier like cricket too.
Not sure how fast rooting will be available and there's always risk involved there

my first Android was the htc evo in 2009 iirc. rooted it within months and haven't stopped since. never one problem. I don't use roms, but I do use twerp and only trusted devs for root. this one will be rooted just as soon as it's available.

I have unlimited with Sprint and have been on it since I can remember. it's a business phone and it all fits well for me and no moving for us because my son doesn't want to. and he's right. aside from disorganization and clueless, sometimes crappy, reps Sprint works well for us. we're online people anyway. I don't do stores unless forced and rarely have to interact with them.

Very true, however i tend to use it like a sticky note. If i can remember to click that little icon most likely i can remember what i wrote on the note

I found that you can program Bixby to answer questions any way you want. She is talking dirty to my wife!! My wife is so mad. It's so funny.

I have discovered that if you leave the phone sit for about 24 hours some of the glitches on day one sort themselves out. First I tried using the Spen and it froze my phone each and every time. I had to google to learn to hold down volume and off button at the same time to undo the freezing. Then I couldn't receive any sound notifications or little bubbles with the message. Voila all of a sudden I am getting sound notification and bubbles. So if things are not up to stuff when you set up your phone, perhaps just leave things alone for a while.
