That screen is viable for what 1. 5 seconds?mine too, but it bothers me. no need to cover the whole screen with ugly
yup and ugly for that 2 secs +/- every time you want that menu. add it up over time. I prefer to spend that time looking at the beautiful screen and not a milky, useless overlay. it worked great on previous gens without blocking the screen. That screen is viable for what 1. 5 seconds?

O.K. - can we just agree to disagree?
I'm always that way, but also defend my right to an opinion. no one can tell anyone else what they should like.![]()
As a former Blackberry fan with a love for physical keyboards, I am finding the S Pen is great for doing all my typing and texting. I am still hopeless with virtual keyboards and now I use my S Pen and pick away fast as can be. This is the best phone since by BB Classic in the sense that it is fun and entertaining with lots of little tricks to play around with. I fell in love immediately with my BB Classic, and the same has happened with my Note 8. I even sold my brand new Android BB Keyone to buy the Note 8 and I have no regrets.
Thanks for that tip TX Jedi! I think I would download it right now.It was tough for me to leave Blackberry after the Z30, but I love this phone (just like I loved the Note 7). If you get tired of using the pen for typing, you should get the Blackberry virtual keyboard. It's fantastic.

Probably because it may be mapped to double click on power button, in India that is mapped to emergency callT-Mobile version doesn't have that.
I have T-Mobile and mine doesT-Mobile version doesn't have that.

I noticed you can't do certain things if this or that is turned on. Try to turn on magnification gesture and it will show a list of things that won't work if it's on. Don't know why Samsung does this. You can't use voice commands with the camera if Bixby voice is enabled.
Anyone know how to get YouTube to default to full screen without having to tap the screen?
At the right of the screen where it says enter phone number there is a symbol. Press it and it brings up the list of recent phone calls. You can then choose the numbers you want to block by first long press and then you can choose multiple numbers to block.holy merde! it now takes writing a number down and going to settings and adding the number by hand, in order to block it. who came up with that brilliant move? that's why I have a N8, but I shouldn't have to write the number down when it's right there on the screen. they took away the option to block from the area where delete is and you can only select and not copy. so so dumb. this alone might make me return it. wow. so retarded.
