Yes, AT&T - iBlason Unicorn Beetle Pro case, just like my last 5 phones (creature of habit) Case is coming Monday and phone is now coming on Tuesday... got to get all my Trade-in info figured out (Factory Reset, etc - it's been a while)

It was well worth waiting for, THAT is for sure! Battery life first - it came out of the box with an 83% charge so I charged it to 100% so when I put my SIM Card in, I figured it would do some updates, etc. That was Tuesday at 3:00 PM - I installed the SIM, set it up, did my Google Restore first, then my Samsung SmartSwitch Restore. I then checked for Software Updates - it had the October AT&T Security Update so I let it do that. It's now probably 8:30 PM - dinner has come and gone. Patti thinks I have deserted her (I think she knew that when she saw the phone arrive though
) I now start checking general setup and options, most of which seemed to have been saved from the old backup. I went through some of the new features and checked them out - set things to what I had decided from YouTube videos I had watched leading up to delivery. I'll get to the point... this could go on and on... this morning (Thursday) at 11:00 AM, I finally put it on the charger for the first time since the initial charge with all the stuff that I've been doing!!! AWESOME... it was at 35%! Totally AMAZING compared to the Note 8 - it would have been DEAD yesterday at 8:00 AM! Color me HAPPY!

Sorry took so long getting back to you Jim. That is a great start with the battery. It is definitely better than the note8. I'm so glad you are liking it. Lol I'm sure Patti forgives you. My husband already knows what to expect when a new note comes in
the notes never let me down. Next thing you know I'll be talking about the note10 Haha. #NoteJunkie lmao. And yeah the transfer and setting up my note9 was way faster than doing it on past notes. Seemed like it anyways lol.

I to was really impressed with all that the Samsung Switch app transferred!
I got the wife a Note 9 and through the purchase research and setting it up and seeing all it could do, I found out that there was an 8/512 version and decided I had to have one.
The Samsung Switch app worked much better and transferring everything, even app settings, including many settings on a nav dock app I use, Car Home Ultra,than the LG Switch app I used on a G6. Moto Z2 Play phones were used for transfer to the LGG6 and both Note 9s.
This is my first non-rootable phone and Verizon branded phone since 2012. I've had it 12 days and I am thoroughly impressed!
The only tweaks I cannot find are to remove am/PM the status bar clock (I'm using 24 hour time as a work around) and something else minor that escapes me.
The sound streaming Bluetooth music from this Note 9 is nearly or just as good as my rooted phone with the Viper /Dolby Atmos suite installed.

Smart Switch - you're absolutely correct! I did full backups to the Samsung Cloud and the Google Cloud, then used Smart Switch. All I needed was Smart Switch... as you stated, it restored (nearly) everything from my Note 8 to my new Note 9. The only things that didn't come, I assumed were incompatible apps (3 or 4). Great utility!!!

Got a very nice eMail from Samsung a little while ago that makes me feel a LOT better! "Dear Mr. D., We are happy to inform you that your Galasy Note 8 trade-in has been accepted and has passed all necessary protocols required by Samsung. We hope you enjoy your new Galaxy Note 9!" Yee Ha - no further charges to my credit card... I love it. I knew it was worth waiting for!

@sandra_17, if you happen to have that APK for the "Comic" clock/date from Zedge, I would love to have it! I haven't put a clock back on my screen since Zedge removed it. Just don't like anything else. Thanks!

Hey Monica,
I couldn't get Gmail to let me send the apk when I tried to send it to Jewels. I zipped it, zipped with a diff extension, etc. I gave up, lol, but looked for the version I used on apkmirror. It's the 1st "variant", 54801000, in this list of four:
