Things you've discovered

This has nothing to do with the note9 but anyone else get an update for the zedge app? I just did and realized they took away the widget clocks. Oh well I'll go find another app that has some lol.

I didn't even know they had widget clocks

Lol Yelp. If you ever seen any of my screenshots of my themes in the share your note9 home screen topic you can see my clock widget that I had from them. I noticed when I did the update my clock widget was gone from homescreen and that when I realized they took them away. I'm like well darn. Lol

@Jewels81, I didn't update mine yet. I can send you the apk of the version I have now if you want.

(I didn't know it made widgets either. Just looked and the feature says "beta". Wonder if there were issues with it? )

Lol. I don't know. Thanks. I'll take it.

Haven't owned a Samsung phone in years, so discovering this fast charging has been mind blowing. I'm so used to waiting forever for my iPhone to charge

It's amazing isn't it? I hated how My 7+ took so long to charge. However it lasted long once fully charged.

That was the exact same phone I had. And yes it did mostly. For me it started to die off before I'd get home towards the end of owning it for a year

I discovered when my note is connected to my s3 frontier through bluetooth the battery last longer but when its disconnected and the phone forwards the calls through my watch the battery drains slightly

That's normal, anything trying to connect or having good/bad signal will drain your battery

best feature for me bar none is the battery life. As long as I leave the house in the am on a 90-100% charge, it's good all day and all night until I plug it in before bed. Also, when it gets to 10-15% life it seems to take forever for it to die.

I agree. I get 8 to 9 SOT easily. I have confidence that it won't die on me while I'm out.

I discovered so many key things...

Stuff I love:

  1. Created a camera button that I can move around so my thumb does not have to do yoga to hit it
  2. Live focus takes two pics, one with the wide angle camera and I can adjust the blur on the other pic
  3. The edge menus!
  4. Double clicking the recent apps button toggles back and forth between two apps
  5. Real multitasking is easy (view recent apps as list instead of screens, and then hit the two bars on an app)
  6. The notes app is useful even if I dont use the pen...lets me create a short list of urgent things to do - just use voice entry
  7. Added Gboard keyboard which has better voice transcription and incorporates bitmoji keyboard!
  8. Set double power button to start phone when screen is off.

I'll add more when I think of them...

I did not know anything about number 4. Thanks

Btw, I meant to say that double pressing the power button can start the camera. Not the phone.

I discovered with multi window a useful trick. Sometimes I have a small windowed app at the top like YouTube and something like a browser on the bottom, and adjust the top app as small as possible. Just enough to see, like if its someone reviewing something, so I only need the bare amount visible.

With standard multi window there's a limit on how small you can make a split app. Instead, you can open up standard multi window then turn the top app into snap window and adjust frame of reference. That snap window can then be reduced as small as you like. And if you drag it larger, it automatically defaults back to standard multi window, with a pop up telling you.

I also discovered that notes in Samsung notes can be shared with the reminder app. So you can write something directly in notes or on off screen memo and then put it into reminder. If you need to add something you can just click on "add item" and type in additional notes.

When you share a note to reminder, pop ups appear briefly so you can put in a schedule. If the pop ups disappear, you can just go into reminder app and edit to set a schedule.

Lol. I don't know. Thanks. I'll take it.

Hey Jewels - I think I'm ordering tomorrow!!! $600.00 off Deal through Samsung if I trade in the Note 8 but deal ends Nov 3 - been seeing it on TV! Might just jump... don't think there's going to be anything better than that coming down the road!

I just discovered a new S pen remote function that must have been added with the last update. Stopwatch in the clock app. Press the S pen to start stopwatch timer, and keep repeat pressing for incremental lap timing.
