Things you've discovered

I discovered by accident that when you view images in gallery and swipe up on an individual image, it takes you to the details screen of that image. Instead of having to press on the 3 dots at the top right.

And if you swipe down on an image, it goes back to thumbnail.

Oh man, this just gets better and better. I discovered that when your S pen is running low, you don't have to fully insert it in to recharge it. You push it into its silo but you don't have to click it in. And if you have the S pen remote settings screen up, you can watch the battery gauge in real time. I did mine at 60% and in a few secs it went to 100%.

One improvement which I suggest that maybe Samsung could offer in an update is that when that S pen is out, in the same way you have the main battery % showing at the top, to have the same for the S pen. And maybe a new option in settings to flash an alert that you can configure when the battery reaches a preset level.

You just reminded me, this past weekend I had the pen out writing a lengthy message to someone. I was initially writing it in Simple Notepad so I could edit, rewrite, etc. No idea how long, but maybe 45 min to an hour?

Something did flash that the battery was low, to reinsert it. I didn't think to take a screenshot to share! Now I kinda want to leave it out a long time again so I can see it again, lol.

Lol, now I want to do it. You know what would really be fancy? Maybe Note 10? Maybe the S pen could be wirelessy charged from the phone battery by simply laying it on top of the screen as well as charged from within its hidey hole.

Simple notepad,,,is that a separate app?

With the screen off, if I press & hold the home button area, I get logged in.

I like that option. Had it on the note8 too:)

I recently found this too and really like it.

Didnt realize my alarm volume is separate from my default volumes. If I have all set lower : media, notification, etc then go into alarms, those are still significantly higher. Foind that out this a.m. when my alarms went off LOUD. I had to go into each alarm (have three set), under the notification sound, to lower each once separately so it wasnt blaring.

I don’t use my phone for a morning alarm. But wow...how can you hear anything in your phone with things set so low lol. Mine are at least midway and phone volume almost all the way up.

Well, the alarm was ringing louder than this screen showed but still. Usually I have it under half way

If I'm not wrong this is already the case. Whenever you pop out your S Pen, a little icon is added to the status bar and shows the battery level (though there is no%, just the icon being more or less filled according to battery status of the pen) and as for the battery alert, I may have seen once a reminder to put the pen back in its hole...

This don't go for just the note9 but I thought I would throw it in here lol. Anyways, the Google search widget can be customized now. You can change ths color, transparency, shape, Google symbol etc. Just go to your Google settings and look for customize widget. Here is a pic of mine. I changed color and shape. Changed it to yellow to go with theme.
