Thinking about getting the OnePlus3T, thoughts?

I switched to a OnePlus 3T after spending a little over a year with my Note 5 in November. I can honestly say I've never once thought about going back. I make it through a full day (easily) on a full charge with fairly heavy use, and the phone itself is really snappy. The only thing I can say I miss is the Samsung camera software. I really liked their camera UI, and I just haven't found one on the Play Store that feels the same for me, but that's more of a personal preference thing. Bottom line: go get a OP 3/3T!

I hear the OP6 is going to be killer with the QC 845 SoC, 12GB ram, dual USB C ports, FF speakers, 5.9 inch 4k screen, removable battery, 2nd SIM slot can double as an SD card slot, IP68 specs, and an IR blaster.

(OK, I made all that up). :D

I heard it'll have 2 sim slots AND an SD card slot AND work fully on Verizon!

The OnePlus range is excellent, and is, in my opinion, one of *the* best midrange phones to get right now. I have the Honor 8 which is also good, as is the Zenfone 3; but the OnePlus 3T is really the best bang for your buck. It's mentioned and praised in the Android Central's Buyer's Guide - check it out!

As far as comparing it to the Pixel, it is hard to do, as you would be comparing a flagship device with a midrange one. The OnePlus does lots of things at the same level as a flagship, but it's still difficult to compare the two. In my opinion, you'd get a great experience with either device. If you're looking for as close to stock experience as possible, then the Pixel is a wise choice. But if you're looking for near-flagship-level performance at an unbeatable price, the OnePlus is the way to go.

Also, you will inevitably find issues with any phone you decide to purchase - or individual phones within that manufacturing line will encounter bugs. It's just the way things go with technology! Plus, people are more likely to post about negative experiences or issues when it comes to talking about products, events, establishments, etc; so don't let large number of negative reviews or posts influence your decision.

Good luck! Let us know what you decide!

In all honesty it feels more like a flagship device than the pixel. Better battery life and 6 GB of RAM with much higher speeds. And half the price. Tough to beat.

Agreed.

I played with the Pixel while at BB looking for a Nexus 6p, the BB employee was really pushing the Pixel, but I couldn't justify the price tag. The build quality was great, I just don't like the button/FP sensor on the back, and I don't like the virtual keys on the actual screen. I prefer a single home button on the front and the home keys on the bezel. Just like the Samsung Galaxys and the 3T has.

The 3T feels like a flagship as far as quality and blows everything away that I've used as far as performance! Not sure why it's not in the flagship category? Price? Since getting my 3T, I have returned my LG V20 and not turned on my Note 5 since. I absolutely love this phone!

So I'm just wondering....We consider a flagship phone based on its price? Are you being serious here? This is pretty sad IMO. The OP3T is a Flagship device. As much as i love AC and I do consider their opinion but they are wrong here. The only major up they have on the OP3T is the fact that it gets updates quicker and the camera app is better built. Otherwise what does the Pixel have that makes it a flagship phone over the OP3T? I'd really like to understand this train of thought is all.

In any case I'm not saying one device is better than the other but to push people into believing its a mid-range phone due to price is just sorta ridiculous IMO. However, I do agree with you with on the comment about it being the best bang for the buck.

Also tbe battery life.

I've only had the 3T setup exactly to my likings for about a week and the battery is amazing! I'm averaging 2 days of battery life and easily over 5 hours of SOT. This is all mostly talk, text, Hangouts and web surfing. I don't do any kind of social media or games.....

Battery life is a big thing to me, bigger than a camera. The 3T has certainly surprised the crap out of me so far as far as battery life.

Hi! I wasn't trying to downgrade the 3T at all with my comments about it being a mid-range phone. I was merely classifying it as such because it is in that price point. While it's true that the 3T can certainly hold its own against other devices, I was just pointing out that one can get flagship-like performance or premium quality performance from the 3T.

The Pixel is still not a great comparison because it's close to stock Google, it's got more bells and whistles so to speak, and yes, it's quite on the expensive side. If I were faced with both, I'd take the 3T.

Again, phones like the 3T are great! I own an Honor 8 so I definitely get the whole bang for your buck thing. These phones that we so classify as "mid-range" are still powerhouses and I was only calling them as such due to their price point and specifications. Most mid-range phones do lack in some specifications areas, but that isn't necessarily the case for the 3T. ;)

We had a big discussion in the never settle thread about flagships. I suggest you visit that issue there and not bring it here as it seemed to generate some emotional responses.

Just sayin'. ;)

Anybody have a word on when the 128GB will be available? I want the 128GB version, but it's currently out of stock, and when it is stock, it will be available in a limited quantity as OnePlus is having inventory issues, so it's possible that could sell out quickly once it's available for purchase. I just want to order it! Lol, getting hyped, should I settle for the 64GB?

I've always bought the biggest memory I can get and have finally settled on 64 GB. That seems to be the sweet spot for me.

Then again, I only use <10GB on my phones, so a lot of memory isn't needed.

If you need all 128GB, I'd wait. It's always best to go bigger and not need it that smaller and need more IMO.

I always have 30 to 35 GB free on my 64 GB phones. So it's my sweet spot too. But I use the cloud a lot.

I'm thinking about getting the OnePlus3T, as it just looks so dang good with the amazing specs, and quality overall. But before I do so I just want some real feedback from others who have the device and there take on the phone. Is it compatible with At&t? Is gaming with the phone smooth and not laggy? I've heard that it has a lot of issues, bugs and errors, so please clarify problems if any. Like have any of you been experiencing phone breaking issues like a fast battery drain, or poor call quality, cellular connection, wifi miss connection, etc.. Have any of you had to return the device? Just any problems. I would also appreciate some clarification on how the OnePlus3T is running on Android Nougat. Thank you.

I really don't think you can go wrong with the 3T.. MCW is coming up in case you want to see what's coming in 2007 though. I don't think that the 3t's price will drop but prices might drop in general once newer models are released.

IMO, the only thing that disappoints is the screen. 1080p is fine and all for maybe screen sizes at around the 5" size, but once you hit 5.5 and above, you do start to notice the difference. Especially if you compare it side by side to a screen like the Galaxy Edge or even the Axon 7. But everywhere else, the Oneplus3T is absolutely as good as any other phone and costs a lot less.
