Like the title says... I still have my note 4, it works, just do sent charge very fast, or connect to my pc (USB port issue), but I think I prefer it to this 7 edge.

Part of it is that I'm really missing the pen... never really used it on the n4, but used it a lot on the n7, and am now having withdrawls. also, this 7 edge seems quite leggy compared to both the n7 and my n4 (n4 was actually pretty snappy), battery life is abysmal compared to both n7's I had, and about equal to what I got from my n4.

HEAT! This edge gets wicked hot, the n7 barely got warm even with the vr, and the n4 only got warm when I pushed it.

screen size. I know it's not even a 1/4" smaller, but with the edges being so pronounce, and the corners so rounded, it really feels small. I'm constantly correcting my fat finger mistakes, where I rarely had to on either note.

Last but not least... I'm kinda hoping the n8 (or whatever they call it) gets released with the s8 in Feb. Being as the "X" series is supposed to drop next year, Sammy could very well fix whatever the issue is with the n7, make a few tweaks, and release it as the n8 (or whatever) at the same time as the s8, and still have another flagship release for q3/q4.... and if I stick with the s7e, I won't be able to upgrade to anything til Oct 2017.

What ya'll think?

Well I wouldn't consider this device to be small by any means. Go use a iPhone SE, that thing is SMALL. I think you are just used to the larger phone and the slightly larger display with less edge curvature and even the flat screen on your N4 makes it feel much larger.

What I find so amazing is how Samsung made this phone feel small when it has one of the larger screens. Compare it to the iPhone 7 plus, it's quite incredible how much smaller the form factor is yet the display is the same size. To me that is really impressive, bc I came from the iPhone 6s+ and held the iPhone 7 plus the other day and couldn't believe how I actually used that phone before the s7 edge.

Just my two cents

Yeah.. I know... Its not by any means small compared to the majority of phones, but it feels quite a bit smaller than the n7 did, and the n7 screen felt smaller than my n4's, but only by a tiny bit.

The screen size, or at least the screen "feeling" is def a big part of why Im not happy with it, but to be honest, the more I think about it... if it was just the screen... I could prolly live with it...

Thing is, when I upgraded from my n4 to n7, it felt like a big upgrade, in terms of quality... this s7 edge just seems like a lateral move from the n4 to me... maybe even a step back.

I know... specs wise, its a step up, and Im sure if I hadnt had the n7 first, I'd be much more happy with it, but at this point, I'm thinking I'll take the hit on the restocking fee, and just hold out till feb, or march to see whats next.

ETA: The fact that I paid almost as much for the s7e as the n7, and its a few months older, dosent have all the reasons I went to the n7 in the 1st place, and will be stuck with it for a year dosent quite sit right with me either.

Before I exchanged my N7 for S7E yesterday, I called Roger's, my carrier, and they promised to refund the difference in price between these two phones. I told them that I am forced to downgrade to a lower priced phone so I deserve a refund.

I changed from the note 4 to the s7 edge. I loved my Note 4 but it stopped starting. I had the same concerns with screen size but the s7 edge screen is great. You get used to it quick. I think its a beautiful phone. Mine gets hot too and Samsung keeps telling me it's due to my apps. Whatever. I have had my edge for a month. I almost returned it at the 2 week mark because I really wanted the note 7. But we see how that went. I have been very nervous with the edges screen. I haven't dropped it but I just noticed today (thats why i am on the forum) that its cracked at the bottom with two small cracks up in the screen. Have no clue how it happened. The Samsung rep told me this phone was so much strong than the note 4. I dropped my note 4 a couple of times and it was fine.

I am so frustrated. I contacted samsung because I want it repaired so I can give it back eventually. Also, so it doesn't get worse. I knew I would have to pay to have the screen replaced. Wasn't expecting a warranty. But i did read that Samsung has the out of warranty repairs . I asked about it and Samsung told me they aren't doing it right now. The out of warranty has been suspended "Due to current business conditions". I was told to go to a walk in service center in ny. I don't live in Ny. They said try contacting my carrier (verizon) who won't do anything or go to where I bought it. So basically Im screwed. I should have switched to iPhone

So, here's what I have finally decided....

I bought one of these ....

For my note 4...

If I can install it without breaking the screen, and it works, I'm returning this s7e.

If I make matters worse during the process, or it just dosent fix my issue, I'll keep the s7e.

The board should be here Monday, leaving me 2 days to return the s7e within the 14 day window.

Wish me luck!

I am in a similar situation as you...

Came from a Note 4 - I had 2 N7 - original and replacement - it was the best phone...

I was talked in to trying the Moto Z Force - I did NOT like it.... many reasons - was trying to make it act more like a samsung.... LOL

So about 10 days ago, I got the S7 Edge.... I don't like the Bezel on the edges. On the Note 7, I went as is - did NOT use a home launcher.... Well I am now using Nova again. I just am not happy with it - but what do I get instead??? My youngest is using my Note 4 - for games, videos etc. So I either take it away from her and use it.... or get something else - I DO love the camera on the S7e - that is an important factor for me.... I even played with hubby's Note 4 today and it seemed so huge. I have had a naked S7e until yesterday..... :(

I want a "do-over" of last month or so - no fires or explosions.... anyone have a time machine LOL

I've been a Samsung user since the s3, then note 3, 4,and 7, now the s7edge. With that being said, Samsung has just gotten to big for their own good, and flat out don't give a damn. They will shoot out the S8, and some form of a note, people will rush out and buy them... Samsung will continue not to give a ****. Hell they can't even put out a washing machine, something full of Fk'en water manages to catch fire... Lol Despite all of that I still like my S7edge...Salutes Samsung with my big fat middle finger. Best Wishes to you all and good luck with whatever device you choose.

As far as the stylus goes people have mentioned using other stylus with the S7E successfully, so you could look into a thrid party stylus to go with your S7E. Do you have any apps running on the S7E that you didn't have running on the Note7, and did you disable any apps you disabled on the Note7 on the S7E (example DTIgnite)? Did you enter developer mode and edit any settings (like animation) on your Note 7, and if so did you do the same on the S7E?
You've made sure you downloaded all available updates for the S7E, right? Have you done a clear of the system cache via reboot?

I'd say there is next to no chance that a new Note will be released when the S8 are released.
