After waiting for note 8 I think I'm paying for a lot of things I don't need like Bixby and the pc feature. I do miss the pen though but net essential.. Biggest single concern is the battery.. How's the software updates for you? Probably wait for mate 10. Any comments thanks
Move on IMO. The phone is awesome but at $920 plus...there's got to be something else you (and all of us) could use. That's a lot of cheddar unless you got it like that

At $533 as mentioned earlier in this thread, I would certainly pick the note 8, if you qualify for that pricing

Yes. I was credited the discount price at check out for being a former Note 7 owner. Sorry for the late response.

And for those in California, it will lower the tax paid by about $30, since Samsung is treating it as a reduction in price.

Most trade ins pay you later, so you have to pay tax on the full amount

How do they know you were a former Note 7 owner

It asks for the email used to register the note7 or for email associated with registering for any note 7 promotions.

If you didn't register using email you can provide a receipt, credit card bill, or Carrier bill to prove that you had the note 7.

That makes it even better. I don't think of that.

Ordering from Verizon also charges you a $30 upgrade fee. This fee isn't charged when buying from Samsung. So for me, i as saved $30 on upgrade fee and $30 on taxes. On top of that, Verizon offers up to $480 for trade in but only $240 for my s5. Which isn't bad, but Samsung gives $425.

Once factoring that in, ordering from Verizon would cost me $245 more over ordering from Samsung.

Of course if you have an s7 edge for example then Verizon will give you $480, Samsung $425. But you also need to factor in upgrade fee and taxes (if applicable).
