Thinking of returning phone and getting iphone-Android is bad

My comment about iPhone sheep was not an insult. Just the best way to describe the iPhone experience. You don't get to be your own person with your phone... You get to be a carbon copy of everyone else.... A sheep...

Thanks all for your responses. I think that the lack of 4.0 info for newbies is a big problem. I have my own business and have been my own IT guy for 24 years.I can usually figure things out, but my experience over the past 3 weeks has been difficult. (I use non-gmail btw.)
I tried to use double twist, but it said the type of USB connection is wrong and I have to use wifi. Also could not sync with HTC as I have no SD card, which I was not told about. Another synch program (now uninstalled) could not sync or send help link from my PC.
No where to go for help as most of the videos are about previous versions, and are not relevant ot 4.0.
I am using MailDroid and other than the lack of "preview" it seems to work better, at least I do not have unviewable emails.

If you fall prey, then you should fan up! If you can be beyond that littleness, you have choices and the more choices the better.....choose wisely:cool:

Before you become a "sheep", you might take a look a windows phone. They are easy to use which seems to be what you need, and, I think it actually looks better than Ios (also, these people ranting at you would be less irate).A quick video of windows phone can be found here . If this looks interesting, this phone from Sprint might be what you're looking for. If you'd like a more in-depth look, head over here. Heck, according to Cnet, Windows Phone will be more popular than Ios by 2016!

Just to add something...

For the simplest way to sync with iTunes might be HTC Sync Manager. I have never used it myself but it would seem to be the easiest because it's made specifically for HTC phones

HTC Sync Mgr does not work without an sd card. I can only connect as a device, which only allows me to drag things there, if I am lucky.
I installed Wondershare but it sticks or just never connects to the device. OMG, it just connected. I tried 4 times 3 weeks ago, and now it went through. I see it works with HTC Sync Mgr chosen, but not Media sync.
Double twist wont let me sync over USB it says I need Mass Storage Mode, which I have no idea what that means. I get the itunes looking window on DT, but then cannot transfer the music.
Thanks

As long as you can access the music folder from you pc just drag and drop music files to the folder. peoples biggest issue trying to do this was not being able to recognize the phones music folder on the sd card.

It is an insult. You don't know what iOS can do therefore you cling to fanboy misconceptions. You can definitely be your own person.

If you want to sync iTunes easily use Google music, its the easiest out of all. Just make sure you save it for offline listening

I have checked out iOS and and it doesn't allow for the same level of customization. It was not meant as an insult and if it was taken that way that is just your fanboy showing.

The OP might be trolling, but also could just be use to something a Lil simpler . What I don't understand is all the hate thrown around when someone prefers something other than android .. "Go back to your walled garden... Good look being locked down.. Your not tech savvy so u need a "dumb" phone " heard em all n just because someone doesn't care how many widgets they can fit on their home screen or change the way their launcher behaves doesn't mean they aren't tech savvy .. Everything just isn't for everybody IOS has its pros n cons just like android does neither is prefect .. If he doesn't want help figuring out his issues then like someone else said thanks for at least giving it a shot.. But to down play his feelings just because he prefers IOS or even windows for that matter is just stupid ..

Coming from an ex-iPhone user i have to say each OS has their own unique characteristics. I enjoyed using iPhone for 3 years. I've went to an android previously (droid x), but hated how clunky it is. It was slow and apps was limited. So i went back to iPhone OS. However, Times have changed, android are catching up. OS is getting better and smoother. But have an ability that iOS can't compare to. Which is what i call freedom. I can customize my phone the way i want. If i don't like the launcher, i can easily change it. It's awesome. Google play store has all the apps i need that i had on iOS. To me I felt like Apple had me on a lockdown. Everything is under Apples control. It felt great for a while, bc it was stable and easy to use. But boredom came fast. I wanted the ability to customize my phone the way i want. So 2 weeks ago i switched back to an android. My friends laughed and said i would just go back to iOS like I did before. Because after 2 days of using droid x I regretted my decision and went back to an iPhone. But not this time. After many many hours of research and reading up on reviews of droid DNA, iPhone 5, and galaxy note 2. I chose the note 2. And i have to say my friends who are Apple fanboys are jealous, even my wife wanted to get rid of her iPhone 5. Imagine being spoon fed for a long time not knowing what you're fed and not knowing what's out there. Now that I tasted heaven I'm never going back ever. I paid for a lot of money for a phone I sure as hell will do what I want with it. If you like being spoon fed then go to Apple. If you enjoy your freedom go with android. Both are great OS.

I'm going to go ahead and close this thread. It was around nine months old before being resurrected today, and generated some non-constructive responses. I'd prefer not to re-awaken that conversation here.
