I have an LG G7 and I love the phone but the battery life is abysmal. Is the s9+ better?

It's giving me 2 days.

mine was great and has gotten worse in the past 3 months. I now average 4 hours sot. I used to get 5.5. I would say it has average battery and be mindful of the apps.

It's good. Not great. But more often than not it gets me through a day with fairly heavy useage.

You might want to consider the Note 9 which is coming out shortly, supposed to have a 4,000 mAh battery

I'd rather get the s8 active. The note 9 is going to be outrageous in price
This is a good idea. Have both myself, I like the S9 plus, especially for watching video, but the S8 active is all around a greater phone, with the addition of the greater range offered by tmobile having bought the radio spectrum allowing it.
The curved edges, of which I've used for 2 years, is more asthetic than functional, in addition to making it more fragile. Check out the specs for both.

Then why are you suggesting it? Just because you don't pay full price, doesn't mean others have that option.
I didn't bring up price. The OP asked about the S9+ which is close in price to the Note 9, I offered an alternative that should have great battery life.

I was talking about the note 9. the s9+ is the most money I'll pay for a phone. by the way I picked up the s9+ tonight lol

It will be better but not the best. The Pixel 2XL probably has the best battery life out of any flagship device. The only devices better would be the BlackBerry KEYone and KEY2, if you consider those flagships.
