Any recomendations on a third party insurance for phones? I am past my 30 day limit and I am planning on trading my X for a Fascinate. I Dont want to take chances incase something happens to the phone, so any help would be appreciated. I have heard about Squaretrade but Im not sure of its legit...

I buy it through Verizon, but after you asked, I did a search and it looks like Ensquared is an option. Using their calculator, they quoted me $60 for 1-year of loss, theft, and damage protection. $100 for 2 years.

I've bought SquareTrade warranties before. There's usually 30% off coupon flying around that you may be able to find as well. Can't really comment on how good they are as I (knock on wood) haven't had to use it. In looking at their coverage though, it appeared to be quite good with the exception of water damage (which I think they now have plans to cover that too). One plus was that they give new replacements versus refurbished. For cell phones, I think the cost was $99 for 2 years, but with a coupon was down to $70.

When I got my last phone, the store suggested I go to www.cellphoneinsurance.com. They had a phone protection service to remotely lock, locate, and wipe my phone if I lost it. The part i really liked was the company would buy my phone back from me when I'm ready for another upgrade. They guy at the store figured they'd buy it back for about $137 and the insurance only cost me $130. I did the math and figured that it would be cheaper for me in the long run to do it this way. Hope this helps.
