This awesome phone is in my hands. Any questions?

why would the battery life be soo much better with the same specs and OS do you think?

The processor is a completely different generation. Also the battery is larger. Plus the screen is more efficient.

All the other components like ram/motherboard/ROM/radio/etc are going to be updated are therefore more efficient.

Internal Memory

Why does the Incredible #2 have far less internal memory than the Incredible #1...I switch out memory cards often so rely on the internal memory for my music (DINC#1 had 6+ gigs, DINC#2 has less than 1 gig)

Next gen Snapdragon processor in the dInc2 is much easier on the battery than the one in the dInc. Plus isn't the dInc2 battery larger?

yes the snap dragon is supposedly much more efficient. it is clocked at 1ghz so it doesn't process more instructions per minute. but it is easier on the battery and more efficient in how it processes.

that is my understanding at least

yeah i was a bit put off by this. but the thunderbolt is the same way. it had i think 2ish after the rom and all the vzw bloatware

my dinc1 was the best android i ever owned. but i figured i'd sacrifice the internal memory and buy a bigger SD card. and get all the other hardware perks

Alright, battery update.

Got the phone yesterday at 1:30pm, used it non stop (well, a few breaks here and there) for about 9 hours (11pm). Phone was at 36% before I went to bed.

I decided to not charge it because I wanted to see how much longer the battery can last. I woke up 8 hours later (about 30 minutes ago), and the battery is still at 36%. It did not drop even 1% in 8 hours of standby.

Hardware perks?

What are the hardware perks? I need reassurance that I didnt waste my money on this device :-\

INC2

I love this phone, I came from the INC1 and even though it is the same on some specs.

THis phone is still awesome, faster battery last and the screen is the perfect size.

I did have a $100 new every 2 credit I did not use (before they took it away)...

How is the speaker for music?

My D-Inc has the best speaker I've had in a smartphone - loud and clear, but then the Droid 1, much better than the Thunderbolt I had for a week.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

that is unbelievable. that and International alone makes it worth the upgrade...at vz picing one up for full retail....:-)

hardware perks include: bigger battery, more efficient processor, bigger screen, front facing camera, better rear camera (new light sensor and lens setup. correct me if i'm wrong), more RAM, better display, sim card (world phone with the potential to unlock and use on GSM), brighter notification light. and i haven't been able to confirm this. but i see several small holes around the back and top of the phone that resemble noise cancellation mics. can anyone weigh in on that

The speaker sounds amazing, but some may not like it. I'll try my best to explain.

It seems like everything is much more clearer...meaning, if you were watching a video or something, and there were noises that kinda "blended in" to the other noise when using the dinc 1, on the dinc 2 you can actually hear that noise that would be blended in on the original. Very hard to explain, so maybe someone else could chime in.

BUT, it seems like the dinc 1 had more bass.

Well, I can now say with 100% certainty, that this will be the first smartphone I have ever owned where I can go two days without charging with my typical heavy use. I can't believe how much the battery life has improved.

I know it's too much to hope for but would the DINC2 happen to have SVDO? The Bolt has it but the other LTE phone, the Charge, doesn't.Wondering if it's a just newer HTC feature.
