I've never had an issue on my Pixel 2 with any hissing or anything. My issue with audio is that it's just very low. Anything I record while the video is generally good the audio volume is low and sounds far away almost like background noise.

You can hear the hiss clearly in the pixel 2. It's a background static noise, which is not present in many other phones I've used. There was a thread about it in the pixel 2 XL section too.

When I started this thread I should have been more specific. I meant the camera portion of it. It's turning in to how bad the video camera is especially. I realize they both are you using the same hardware and app, but my original post was really about the amazing pictures. I don't use the video that much but when I do the video is decent and they audio is acceptable without any hissing. It's not great by any means, however I'm good with it and hoping it's improved.
