This G6 is turning into a pile of crap

Got a Sprint update about a month ago, and it ruined this phone completely. I get on average 2-3 hours sit, the majority of my battery is eaten up by the system. It has froze completely several times. Thought I had a boot loop going when I just restarted it and it stuck to a white black screen for a minute straight. Then restarted. All the apps I use on the regular all lag now. I have do e everything but factory reset to fix these issues. If I'm going to set up a device again it's going to be a new one. This has been every experience for an LG device for myself.

Do you have an SD card in the slot? A very common problem with "system takes up all my juice" is a corrupted media file (picture, music, whatever) on an SD card. The system tries to make a thumbnail or add it to the music library or whatnot, and fails, and then tries again, repeat the process a few thousand times and it takes up a lot of processing cycles and wastes battery.

If you have an SD card, try taking it out for a day and see if things improve.

either you need to do a factory reset or you need to do a warranty exchange. sucks that you have had that experience though. there are many people in this forum, myself included, that havent had any major issues.

The only thing i dont like about last european update is, that batter aint that good anymore... SoT is bad, everything else same ****... And haven't had any issues so far with G6..

Wow crazy, I keep hearing all these horror stories about the G6. So far no issues for me. But I'm already considering moving on to the Note 8

But I agree. Try removing the SD card and doing a factory reset

I used to do a factory reset on all of my updates... I'm not as religious about it but on my V20 i had audio and battery issues and an FDR fixed everything. I used LG backup along with Google restore and it minimized the heartache of getting things back online.

Did a factory data reset and it did nothing to fix the battery life. To compare I just got the essential and under the same conditions I had 5 hours of sot and almost 50% battery left the other day.

It's a phone, simply called the essential phone. I love this phone. Best sot I have gotten is just over 8 hours with this bad boy. You can buy it from essential, best buy, and sprint.
