This is ridiculous!

Yes but we will all surely die without it.......just like we did before the S3, DNA, Note2, Bionic, and on and on.
Very similar to updates; Ginger Bread was the end all, it was going to lead us down a path to world peace. Ice Cream Sandwich you say? Well that was God on a Stick. And as for Jelly Bean, I hear in some places you can't even say the words. Key Lime Pie? I hear it contains microscopic dust from the Cullinan Diamond and a sliver from the actual crucifixion cross (I heard also it contains the sweat of Sophia Vergara but that sounds a little too far fetched to me). Speaking of my Bionic on ICS (at one time the love of my life), I wonder what my 5 year old daughter ever did with that thing?

I get that some people are in a hurry, and don't begrudge the OP for his rush.

But me personally? One month of life burs into the next. Phones I've had in the past were crappier than phones availabe now, and my quality of life was nevertheless okay. The phone I get next year will be crappy compared to the phone I get a few years later, and my quality of life will nevertheless be okay. I'm not going to look back from my deathbed and fret about which phone I had during which month of my life.

Matter of months? I bank the GS4 to be out by end of april early May.

I'd be surprised if it comes to the US that soon though. If it's like last year, it'll hit internationally first and then hit the US a couple months later. Sometime in the summer.

It's amazing how the "next big thing" turns out to something so small in the history of the world. As soon as something is announced, people label it as the "best thing ever" or a "game changer". And honestly, I can't name too much that I'm doing now on my SGS3 that I wasn't doing on my iPhone 3GS.

Great post. I guess everyone has their "thing". Some people have it in fashion, cars, food and now electronics. Most of us, in one way or another, in some area of our lives are enamored with something and we spend energy with those things thinking and hoping to improve our lives when in fact, they could diminish as we missed the time cherishing the more important things. But hey, to each it's own.

To me that passion is everything you listed there and more. But its the company not knowing when the release of its product would happen so bad that they state a completely wrong month...

I swear I see this same thread pop up every time a highly anticipated flagship phone is announced. I saw it for the Droid Incredible, saw it for the Droid X, the Thunderbolt, the Galaxy S2, the Bionic, and so on down the line. Every time it's the same gripes. I used to piss and moan too and while I still think it's ty that a phone gets announced and then we hear nothing specific from carriers for months, no anticipated release date or anything, I'm kinda over it. It'll be out when it comes out. I'm just as excited about it as anyone else.. I'm starting to dislike my lumia 920 more and more every day but there are more important things to worry about.
