This keyboard is killing me

Thank you so much. Gboard it is for now. I don't feel retarded typing now.

Happy you found something that works for you.

This is the beauty of Android. Keep going and ask questions when you have them. This is an awesome site, I came from Blackberry way back and this site has been so helpful over the years.

That's why I switched. Because I had options,. I just didn't know how to use them. . And so far I have typed this as fast as my fingers will move and only backspaced onced. This is so much better.

I do have another question!! I cant get my other email accounts to work. I set up a separate Gmail account for switching to Android. But every time I try to set up my other email accounts for work and my other personal account, it keeps giving me errors,. I know the password to my work email, i use it everyday at work, but it keeps telling me that my credentials are not correct. I know they are. I have tried many times

I am an iPhone convert, I am trying to get used to this phone, I really want to live it, but my biggest problem so far is this keyboard. My fingers are not that fat. But I can't type without having to erase and retype 4 or 5 times even in a short text message. It's almost bad enough to go back to my old 6 plus. Am I doing something wrong.

Android does a thousand things better than IOS but the keyboards, including G Board and Swiftkey are not even close to the IPhone keyboard.

Why the OEM's or 3rd parties can't get to the IPhone keyboard is beyond me. Is it patented?

I disagree. I hate the iPhone keyboard.

I agree. I think the keyboard is where Android sucks at. I've tried a lot of keyboards and g board is about the best it gets, and that even needs help, like automatically capitalizing "I".

I totally agree, the keyboard on the iPhone is user friendly and easy to use.

Or do like I do and just push the mic button and speak everything. I got over being looked at oddly by passersby years ago lol

I have never heard an IPhone owner complain about their keyboard. I personally know 8 people who would pay dearly to get that IPhone keyboard experience.

Again Android is awesome but I tolerate all the various keyboards.

I wouldn't say it's Android in general, just mainly Samsung. I've had good experiences with HTC and Motorola keyboards.

I like the Samsung keyboard, but if you are switching from another platform like ios it will take some time to get used to a new keyboard.

Stock iOS keyboard sucks IMO. I downloaded SwiftKey for my iPhone within minutes of getting it. Same with the Note 8. Much prefer it over stock keyboards.

A lot of variables go into setting up an email account.

I think you're better off opening a new thread for this subject. Include the type of email account and whether you have tried setting it up manually or just auto discovery.

I use Rackspace for example, and send my users to Google to search how to setup Rackspace email on an android phone (or iPhone for that matter). Most email providers will give you a step-by-step guide.
