This Phone is Almost Perfect...

Hey guys,
It's been a few weeks since I bought my G4 and I've loved almost every bit of it. Battery life is good, screen is excellent, LG UI is excellent, camera is excellent, RAM is more than plenty - just to name a few.
My only gripe is the GPU - the Adreno 418. It just can't cope up with some demanding games such as RR3 and Dungeon Hunter 5.
In fact I would go as far as saying that my old G2 could play RR3 better. In my G4, not only do the cars look jagged(no AA?), but the whole damn thing lags like hell in some maps.
It really bugs me, because the SD805 got the Adreno 420, which is miles ahead of the 418 in the SD808 - WTH Qualcomm??
I'm currently unrooted(5.1 Lollipop), but I am willing to root in order to fix this. Is there anything I can do to increase FPS?

Have you tried going into developer options and changing the settings in hardware acceleration?

Were those games recently updated? I used to be able to play Dead Trigger 2 on high graphics settings with no problems, but that changed with a recent update. Now I have to run on medium (which still looks great) or it's lag city.

I agree. I love my G4. Only play puzzle type games son graphics don't bug me.

Yep tried that. It helped a bit for Dungeon Hunter, but RR3 still looks ****-ugly.

Yeah these are the latest versions of the games. The thing as that we're still relatively early on for mobile gaming, so things are still iffy here and there.
